I have listened to both of the Vaccines albums multiple times, but I couldn't tell you the lead singers name and can't remember either of the album titles right now. Here Come The Vaccines and Growing Up With The Vaccines are my guesses, but I wouldn't bet my concert ticket on it.

Was this the same weekend as Riot Fest last year? I remember sitting on the train platform on my way home and hearing a distant Wilco concert, which was a pretty good way to end the day. I can't remember if that was the same day or if someone was just playing Wilco really loud.

Flatness wasn't an issue but dimming was.

*It's incredibly easy to run up an $800 bar tab when you have only a tangential relationship the the real world.

I saw Jurassic Park in IMAX 3D this weekend and have to admit that the 3D made the T-Rex scene much more intense. The Austrailian ratings board seemed to agree as they increased the rating from the original release's PG to M for the 3D.

Agreed. I watched that movie on TV the summer after I graduated high school and really, really loved it. Considering the cast, I'm surprised more people aren't aware of it.

La Dolce Vita

…an evolving stance. Like hating Mexicans until you decide they are just browner white people who we should totally not force to carry papers and also please vote for us because as long as the pope is still pro-life there is always a place for catholics in the Grand Old Fiesta. What a strange coincidence that we are

I'm not a Phish hater. I just don't want to hear about them. There is a pretty huge difference that you seem to be missing. Just because you deeply care about a subject doesn't mean you shouldn't recognize social cues that the person you are talking to isn't interested.

I generally agree, but there is a certain type of Phish fan that seems incapable of understanding that the majority of the world doesn't really give a shit about Phish. And this certain Phish fan can always be found having a smoke outside the brewpub that you frequent and they just want to go on and on about the

If you stick to the Dead's studio work they are pretty good. It's just the fucking live recordings that make me want to end it all.

and real human beings

The Honor System's "100% Synthetic" EP on iTunes is corrupted and they don't have access to a better version, so they just gave me my $5 credit back. Suppose I should just order it on Amazon. That's all I've got to add to this conversation.

I'm really impressed that even Justin Bieber fans consider The Black Keys to be The Shitty White Stripes.

Cursive: "Some Red Handed Sleight of Hand" and "Art Is Hard" off of The Ugly Organ

"Teeth Like God's Shoeshine" gets my vote for best opening track of all time. But I don't agree "Heart Cooks Brain" earns the one-two punch award.

I mean, I'd had a few Old Rasputins but I wasn't "drink until I don't feel feelings anymore" drunk.

Agreed. I think the fact that I liked it so much up until the "farmer in all of us" line is why it's inclusion made me so mad. It instantly made me think of the David Foster Wallace quote "An ad that pretends to be art is — at absolute best — like somebody who smiles warmly at you only because he wants something from

I actually thought to myself "this is going to be an ad for Monsanto" while watching it.

I really liked the Farming commercial until the text "for the farmer in all of us" completely nullified the words that came before (apparently farmers aren't exceptional, and God just gave us people, and some of those people farm while the rest just earn their integrity by taking out a truck loan). I know we shouldn't
