Don't forget Sting!
Don't forget Sting!
It's my understanding that our copyright system has been broken by Disney. Disney is terrified of Mickey Mouse, and the rest of their releases, being in the public domain, so they lobby hard for the copyright law to change whenever their current extension is up. It's so ridiculous, at this point, I'd almost just…
EVERYTHING makes me want to re-read Pale Fire. Because it is amazing and my favorite book of all time. I was originally disappointed when I missed out on The Original of Laura, but from this discussion, it looks like I dodged a bullet. That said, I think there should have been some middle-ground here. I don't think it…
Shh, you're making me look bad in front of the AV Club….
Austin Beerworks' anniversary beer this year was called Heisenberg. It was a Kristalweizen. They also had a version with glitter in it they called Mr Sparkle. And they served it out of an RV.
I have a heroine addiction to Arya Stark.
I'm excited you guys are finally covering the show, since Mr.Brewman and I just finished watching it recently.
Have we learned nothing from Spinal Tap about the importance of " vs ' ?
And then there were none.
I agree with the idea of having more episodes. It's really frustrating to me that shows keep taking breaks for no apparent reason so I never know if something's going to be on or not. I mean, give me a good reason that Revenge and Vampire Diaries, both shows that just took breaks, are currently in another two or three…
For serious. I actually watched an episode of Cult just because Matt Davis was in it. It made absolutely no sense at all so we never watched it again. Bring back Alaric!! Damon needs a drinking buddy, stat!
@The Increasingly Manic Tom Baker I hereby slap you across the face with my glove and challenge you to a duel. Muskets at dawn!
How's this? http://25.media.tumblr.com/…
If you start with Matt Smith, then you miss David Tennant, who is the best Doctor, in my humble opinion.
I always recommend people start with the reboot and Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor. You don't need to have watched the previous series to get into it (because I still haven't. Don't tell anyone.), and you'll figure out pretty quickly if it's up your alley or if the campiness is too much.
Great. Glad I got 7 whole comments into this board before there was a comment about the attractiveness of a female actress. Who's a VOICE actor on the show. Go away.
Second the Murder at the Vicarage recommendation. It's actually Christie's first Miss Marple novel and it is quite good. And yes, love Poirot and love Suchet's Poirot especially. Recently started watching the Masterpiece series with him on Netflix.
Me, too. And they'll bizarrely have certain books as 99 cent deals, or sometimes a book will be $4.99, sometimes $7.99, sometimes $9.99. I just keep checking back and sweeping them up as they go on sale. I think I have about a half dozen now, most of which are Miss Marple books (not intentionally, they just randomly…
Yes, the [spoiler] writing himself into the book made me bonkers. Yes, Stephen King, YOU are one of the pillars upon which the entire world rests. [rolls eyes][end spoiler]
This reminds me that I read the first book of the Foundation trilogy but never continued because the second book was checked out. Add the rest of Foundation to my "What am I reading?" list.
