ONE OF US!
I would like to watch a movie about that premise more than I would like to watch this movie. Somebody get Miller a Kickstarter stat.
Denzel really did teach that train a lesson.
Wouldn't that be 2 Gunns?
2 Gun2
I think the guy from The Killers is named Brandon Flowers. How about
I can't believe it's been 13 hours and nobody's posted the Farley-as-Meat-Loaf duet with Hartman-as-Sinatra.
It may just be that he doesn't come off well in a "dialogue" setting. If he just wrote an essay about why "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" sucks it might be more palatable. Sometimes writers are writers because they sound like idiots when they talk. I know that's why I do it.
Dylan = Proto-Springsteen
Oh, he's the guy from The Replacements! I know who he is. Kinda
I actually like Magary a lot- I read Deadspin all the time, and I've read and enjoyed both of his books. But I think he comes off like kind of a numbskull here. And it's not even because I disagree with him, because I don't- I hate this song too. He still seems like an a-hole though.
@avclub-3ace65196976c11850236932fc33bc9b:disqus - you know what? I totally misinterpreted your original statement. I thought you were saying literally the opposite of what you were actually saying. Blown call on my part. Sorry.
it's just obnoxious when characters randomly break into song and sing dialogue. It's strange and it always comes across as very artificial and forced.
The Blu-Ray's fine but is pretty bare-bones, which I think is the case for most of Allen's movies. It's funny, though, in watching it and seeing some of the designs of that era, it reminded me of an apartment my aunt used to live in, which prompted some unexpected nostalgic feelings on my part.
I don't know who Paul Westerberg is, but sure, why not?
Go for it. I'll even set you up.
Well, my dad did. Only he didn't tell me it was a joke, he related it as if it were an actual personal anecdote.
Well… there are definitely worse lessons.
I would have to give it to the title track.
