I live in Staten Island, and ordered Manhattan on Blu-Ray in late October of last year. Two days after Hurricane Sandy clobbered my hometown, after I finally vacated the powerless, damaged house I'd been living in and retreated to my parents' place, the first email I got was "Your order of Manhattan has shipped!"

Huh. I sit corrected. Don't know where I got that from. I will amend it accordingly!

Okay, let's do this…

He does indeed. Also Petty and to a much lesser extent Bob Seger.

They're both pretty terrible.

Thank you, @hornacek:disqus , for shattering my world.

I love Meat Loaf, but I also hate this song. Not for any of the reasons Drew listed, but because it is not even close to being his best song, but it is the song that everybody knows. It's not even the best song on the album.

My dad's in his late sixties, and he told me once that the first time he ever felt old was when he was on the Staten Island Ferry and overheard two teenaged girls talking about Wings, and one said to the other, "Did you know that Paul McCartney was in a band before Wings?"

I know you think that, but you didn't. What you said was "I have no interest in "The Hunger Games." The whole thing strikes me as YA material for girls and while I respect the right of that demographic to have entertainment aimed at them, I'm outside those lines."

Even Bat III has its moments.

A few years ago I was discussing Meat Loaf with one of my best friends and we determined that Meat Loaf is basically Idiot Springsteen. (Or maybe Springsteen is Genius Meat Loaf. EITHER WAY.)

Wouldn't it be amazing if one guy had all that power?

Agreed on the podcasts thing. I never used to listen to them, but I find that music is more of a distraction when at the gym, so I started on podcasts and it's a lot better.

Man, this is definitely a great use of everyone's time and energy.

I identify with Jeremy a lot too, for much the same reasons as you do, and that's what made it sting so much, on my annual rewatch last year, and again going over these episodes to keep up with the reviews, to realize what a toolbox he becomes for a little while there.

Cut Man, I think I'll miss you most of all…

It was not even a little cropped, no. It was just a photo of the two of them.

Of course there are movies and books aimed at girls, just like there are (WAY MORE) movies and books aimed at boys. But just because a lot of girls like it doesn't mean it's "for girls." It's not the Babysitter's Club (real talk: I read like twenty of those Babysitter's Club books when I was a kid.) It's about a

I took it that way, too, but there's a huge difference between Natalie saying "Boy, I sure have dated a lot of dudes" and Jeremy saying "You've slept with so many men you are comparable to a porn star."

Jeremy's unwillingness to go to a club speaks to a general unwillingness to do anything outside of his comfort zone, which is understandably problematic for someone like Natalie. Is it possible to compromise? Certainly. But there's only so far you can compromise before you're subverting who you are and what you want
