Oh, that definitely makes sense. It's just when I think of ancient evil and vampire cures, something more exotic comes to mind.

I think it's funny that these supposed mystical hotbeds are all conveniently located in North America.

They've just found King Richard III's skeleton under a parking lot in England. Maybe Silas' grave is under a Howard Johnson's.

I thought Tyler was going to have a clever plan for getting Klaus' blood for Caroline. But she gives him this empowering speech about him being a a great leader, and he basically just drops her off in the living room and hopes Klaus' affection for Caroline outweighs his pride. That's where that side story fizzled out

@avclub-011d0b4fe6835bb3d37ef4e0ea713de6:disqus We'll turn Richard Lewis so he can hang with us too.

Would it really be that bad if Klaus killed everyone who isn't Caroline in a grief-filled rampage? They're always hurting his feelings and making him cry after all.

I'm just frustrated by everyone else caring if Elena wants to be cured or not when they never show that level of concern for anyone who isn't Elena. Caroline and Bonnie's mom didn't want to be vampires either, but no one was going to move heaven and earth to change them back. Caroline got over it and even Abby learned

That's a good point. I've been catching up on The Walking Dead, and that
show does a great job of showing the shifting of its characters' moral
compasses and personalities based on their changing circumstances over time. TVD characters have
also seen a lot of tragedy and death and caused some of it too, but the
show

That many vampires dropping dead around the planet is a little to conspicuous for a group that needs to remain low key. I doubt exposing vampires to the world will become a plot point though.

I come from the Buffy school of thought where vampires are treated as lesser humans, so their lives are therefore cheaper. This show, however, sees them as just people with supernatural abilities, which makes it even more surprising that Elena doesn't even flinch when she suggests killing them.

R.I.P. Kol

Rebekah and Stefan both like Bon Jovi. When is he going to realize they are soulmates?

They'll always have Colorado.

They'll always have Colorado.

I think Damon's so worried about Jeremy's well-being now partly just to stay in Elena's good graces. He genuinely cared about Alaric, but his relationship with Jeremy is still self-serving.

Who would do all the Charlie Work at The Grill?

You're right about Kol being the voice of reason in this. What does each team really know about Silas, besides rumors and legends about him holding the cure for vampirism, that they would risk reviving someone more powerful than all of them? It doesn't seem like any of them know the specifics of the cure either,

If it don't rhyme,
I ain't got the time.

Given her privileged upbringing, I doubt her ability to grapple with the complexity of a minority character like the burrito.

Thanks for that image. I want dash cam footage of each pairing fighting over whether or not they need to stop for directions.
