This begs the question, a variant of the Mike/Joel debate: which is the better MST3K Christmas episode, "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" or "Santa Claus"? As a Mike fan, I've gotta go with "Santa Claus," also because while the other film is goofy fun, this movie is simply batshit insane. I hope the AV Club covers

Time was a man could lift someone else's luggage.

Dr Lawrence Jacoby from Twin Peaks. Not the worst guy, but still creepy as hell.

There used to be a category for "Best Song-Score or Adaptation," which films like "The Sting" or "Barry Lyndon" won, but they discontinued it in the 80s.

Am I the only one who was kind of hoping that Portia de Rossi would take off her jacket to reveal a shirt saying SLUT?

Totally agree. For some reason it's always on Continental Trans-Atlantic flights, and I watch and enjoy it every time. It's the cinematic equivalent of a pop song, and as such it is very good.

"Appa's Lost Days" is one of the rare times, if the only time, a piece of pop culture has led me to sob uncontrollably.

All in the same episode, S.O.B's

Or when he was rapping on "Whose Line Is It Anyway."

Also, Jon Voigt in "Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2" as the German villain.

What a class act. His comments on the Lars Von Trier incident are the best I've heard on the subject. I also love how he'll say yes to Lars, no questions asked, but will demand to see the script for a Steven Spielberg film. Finally, "Well, the coffers run low every now and then." LOL

Doug! doo-do-do-doodoodoo-doo-do-do-doodoo…

The regular theme song isn't that great, but I like when they play with it, like Abed's version in the Christmas episode and the orchestral version in the Dungeons and Dragons episode.

Perhaps, but more importantly, you've missed Arrested Development.

Or at least find appropriate clips of Chloe on the internet. The movie's pretty crap, but to be honest, as far as recent "Julianne Moore is a bored housewife" movies go, I found it less annoying than "The Kids Are All Right."

Nope. They never heard from her again. Here's the clip.

The Robert Stack clips are on YouTube, and they're still terrifying. The one that scares me the most is the one about the girl who gets kidnapped at the phone booth while calling her boyfriend, and when he gets in his car to rescue her, he drives right by the kidnapper. Then his transmission goes out and the kidnapper

I'd rather see him on Community, where he and Chevy Chase can spar like old times.

You say that, but the pedigree behind anti-Stratfordianism is surprising. The original Baconian, Delia Bacon, was endorsed by Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne and Walt Whitman. Other anti-Stratfordians included Mark Twain, Freud, Orson Welles, and more:
