Hello
To Jason Isaacs.
I wouldn't be surprised if his thoughts were somewhat massaged, but I think for the most part he is genuine. I find it hard to believe that Ricky and Steve would react the way they would if they had made up what Karl would say. As someone who's not a big fan of any of Ricky Gervais's scripted work (Office, Invention…
We should be Pipper partners, and go on Pipper digs! I could sing you something from Bone Machine.
I'm betting there are a number of current Charlie Browns posting on this site. I should know, I'm one of them.
My question
When is Bill Murray going to play Franklin Delano Bluth?
As for 3eanuts, I thought it was awesome when I first heard about it (which was yesterday thanks to the AV Club), but looking at the actual strips again, Noel's right. If Schulz had gag lines like in Garfield, the concept would make sense, but the last line doesn't really diminish the despair, which is what makes…
Actually Dog Sees God was written by Bert V. Royal, who has gone on to write the incredibly overrated "Easy A." "Easy A" was terrible, but at least the premise for "Dog Sees God" is somewhat clever.
@DTH, That was the one that stuck out the most to me too. The most heartbreaking bit of pop culture I've seen in ages.
"Let Me In" has virtually all the same scenes as LTROI, but does them all in a way that I like better. Less adults, no crotch, and genuine suspense and terror. LTROI is a beautiful film, but I would not call it scary at all. Best of all, Reeves manages to keep the core story alive but in a new and unique light. It was…
Wait, Zodiac, are you serious? If so, I'd love to hear more.
Let Me In
While I love the original, "Let The Right One In" (which I saw first), I think I prefer the remake for several reasons. Koteas has a great little role in the remake as the cop (unsurprisingly not brought up in the article), so I thought this would be a good time to have people tell me that I'm an idiot.
I'd never heard of Monkey until last summer, when I found out that the band Godiego who did the music for "Hausu" wrote the kick-ass theme song. I must admit, I've seen about 10 episodes on YouTube and I didn't love it, but the music's pretty awesome.
I'm reading GGR for class, and I can't get any of the actors from the film out of my head when I read it, even a relatively unpronounced role like Aaronow. Such a great film.
Ana Torrent
Don't forget Carlos Saura's "Cria Cuervos," which is also a great film, and introduced me to an even better song, "Porque te Vas"
I'm glad I'm not the only one who mixes up Liam Neeson and Leslie Nielsen.
Get in line behind Lerner and Lowe, George Bernard Shaw, and Greek mythology.
So I guess he didn't have all the time in the world.
Ha! But seriously, I love that song. RIP.
Ugh
As someone who goes to the University of St Andrews, where William and Kate met, I am at once repulsed and intrigued by the prospect of a movie, especially how they show the university.
And Peter Weir with "Picnic at Hanging Rock."
