It's surprisingly good.
It's surprisingly good.
I loved HTTYD and saw it 3 times, but there are only two ways in which it's better than TS3 (which I saw 6 times): it had a better 3D experience, and John Powell's score knocked Randy Newman's way out of the water. Otherwise, in every way TS3 is better, despite the fact that HTTYD is very good.
I have. It's pretty good, but not as good as TS3.
That's the only way you can watch it in Britain.
Subtle MST3K reference. I like.
Obligatory "Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders" quote thread
Begins here:
I don't want no part of your tight-ass country club, ya freak bitch!
Hey, at least it wasn't a synagogue-sponsored party.
Kill your father? Sounds fun, but I'm busy.
I guess I'm a bit of a contrarian, but I'd easily take his work from the 80s - King of Comedy, After Hours, and Last Temptation - over anything he did before or after. That said, I haven't seen many of his classics in a while, so I should give them another shot.
YOU'RE WELCOME!!
Saw This a Few Weeks Ago in Britain
Pretty much agree with the review. It's definitely worth seeing for the two teenager girls, and no, I don't mean that in a pervy way. With any luck, Jessica Barden will go very far.
Well, like her old man, she definitely puts a little jiggle in it.
"Meat The Veals" is far and away my favorite episode. How could you not love an episode featuring Egg, Mrs. Featherbottom, and Franklin?
Is there any article on the AV Club that can't yield an Arrested Development quote thread?
I really liked the movie, but the best part for me is easily the opening sequence, not just with that great shot down the long room, but the credits which has so much incredible raw energy. It even improves on later viewings (yeah, I've seen it 3 times), when I noticed that the effects in the credits pertain to the…
In Defense of the Brown Bunny
Now I love Buffalo '66, but I wanted to put in a good word for The Brown Bunny in the midst of a lot of lame blowjob jokes. It does show a very narcissitic Gallo, not just with the aforementioned sex scene but with his encounters with the three other girls along the way. But it's also a…
I for one hope that Mae Whitman has a long and successful career, not just because she's a talented actress (when I hear Katara, I don't think of Ann Veal, and vice versa), but also so that there will be many more years of Annhog jokes on the AVClub comment boards.
Yeah, she's got a lot of mass here too.
I certainly think Kendrick's attractive, and Up in the Air was really good, but I didn't like Rocket Science at all. I remember going to see it with a friend and we argued about its merits for hours. I think he liked it just because of the chick. I thought it was really annoying.
