I've been getting so sad every week watching the show and essentially waiting for cancellation. I did the same thing with Fringe the back-half of this season, I got too sad to watch. So, hooray all around!

The thing about using the word "twee" is that it is just such a mincing word that it always feels kind of twee to use the word itself.

It really didn't help that I read Bissinger's "After Friday Night Lights" piece over the past couple of days. Texas forever.

I don't ever begrudge this show anything, but I'm still a little sensitive to any show using the name of the last episode of Friday Night Lights!

I just finished this last week, and I don't think I've ever read any better baseball writing than the sport scenes at the end of the book. It was suspenseful and had the perfect cadence - I felt like I was at a game.
