Holy fuck. I didn't even realise. Is this the first episode since Will's death that there hasn't been a case of the week?

The Twitter dude was so bad with the point he tried to make about Tyler Clementi's "mistake", like what the fuck. I almost wanted to skip the section when I heard him talk about that.

Maybe Serial will get its own spin-off called Route Talk where it's just Sarah and Dana driving around suburban areas, measuring journey lengths and noting sale signs. Fingers crossed.

He says it as a joke after admitting the movie is racist and misogynist, whilst simultaneously offering reasons why it is so and why that's okay (in his mind). I don't know why they didn't go for one of Nicholson's wittier takedowns instead of that line but eh, whatever. I agree it's extremely un-quoteworthy.

Another thing that is making me lean on "He's guilty" - I was really weirded out by the moment when she talks about knowing him, considering they've talked on the phone for those to 30 hours (IIRC) and he tells her she doesn't really know him. Like okay, true, how well does any of us know anybody, you can make the

Yeah, Jay did not sound like a guilty person to me, he sounded like a person who's been dragged down by guilt that he helped Adnan with the cover-up. Unless there is a reveal that would justify him going out of his way to frame Adnan for the murder, I think Jay's cageyness has been a big red herring.

Speaking of The Canon & I4H, every time I see The Canon in my podcast feed I hear John Gemberling saying "Stop saying canon!" from that brilliant GoT Fact-Off scene a few I4H episodes ago. That one really stuck with me, for some reason.

Had I been Jay, I would've looked guilty because I would've snapped at her pretty quickly and done myself in instantly. Holy fuck. It was hard to listen to.

I think it was fine. He likes the movie a lot, but doesn't consider it essential to "the canon". I liked the sparring that seems to be driving these episodes. Normally I hate bickering and semi-serious arguing in podcasts but it actually kind of works here, for me at least.

I think we all caught it but I don't think it hit most viewers very hard. As has been noted, Lana has been one of those consistently underdeveloped, side-lined characters. Naturally I feel for her but I wasn't distraught by the twist or anything.

I get your point but I think if they piled on something troublesome happening with Diane on top of everything else happening, it might dissolve into a big mess. With that said, I would love more of her, and I would love there to be something a bit later in the season centered around her.

This was my first thought when she said the very funny line about social service, precisely. I felt like Eli Gold - "no sarcasm!" - for a second.

Yeah, I know. I could only ever afford cheap knockoffs or then only own one gorgeous business attire. I will never earn lawyer money, I have accepted this by now.

I love that it didn't happen there, but I also love that the tease was there. Does that make sense? It would've been such a bad idea to actually have them kiss but I love that the weirdness, intimacy, chemistry was there in the scene.

She was trying to be red (confident, kick-ass) but ended up being blue (flailing), thus the purple, a blend of those two colors?

David Hyde Pierce is so genuine and likable, I'd vote for Prady as well. I truly do believe him, will be strange if they pull that rug from under us and he turns out to be scummy in some way.

Small correction: Alicia's new office is Will's old office, Finn is on the other floor. Unless the pilot showed Will's office as this one (because the set of the show was really different in the pilot, IIRC), I don't recall that at all.

If I ever get a proper office job I am going to go shopping for clothes with "Would Alicia wear this?" in mind.

This is a good question, and I have no answer, only speculation for it. I suspect it's just one of those things where a friendship takes a turn into this weird, flirtatious path because the chemistry is certainly there and even if the people involved are not available as in single, they are both emotionally available

Peter has carte blanche to do whatever he wants if he can manage to keep it under wraps. Unless he's a total douchehole, he's told Ramona as much before sleeping with her. If he's both lying to Alicia about the thing AND lying to Ramona about their marriage being a business affair at this point? Oh goddammit Peter.
