Ohmygod, Podmass on top of the frontpage, as I live and breathe! Surely this is a dream.

As a fellow (somewhat) late bloomer, it took me a while to accept we all had our journeys. I know people who spent years in abusive relationships, or otherwise exploitative relationships (like the friend who worked two jobs while her bf played videogames at home for 6 years), and before I knew how bad they had it, I…
>A menstruating woman had to turn off last week’s episode after three calls because she cannot believe the shit women put up with.
Oh I love the idea of By the Book. Thanks! Your posts always provide good picks.
I had a period of watching screwball films from later than the original 20's-40's era, and What's Up Doc? was recommended to me by somebody in the AVC comment section, actually. I thought it was a nice tribute but didn't quite have the spark of the original genre, or even some of the better modern versions.
Reading: Into the Water by Paula Hawkins. Considering I finished The Girl on a Train in two days flat and bought this new one in early May (airport paperbacks are awesome), I'm tempted to say it's not as good, but perhaps it's just more ambitious (tons of complicated character relationshipps) and the plot moves slower…
DDT Universe, 900 yen a month.
Our society is without hope, when some douchebag can not brush his teeth (the bare minimum of hygiene maintenance) and still make millions off the backs off the sick. I almost want to listen to this now, but I also know it would make me super-angry and I am trying to lead a calm life right now.
If the point isn't that she's some kind of Ali G/Borat type of idiot to reveal her interview subjects' idiocy, then this sound pretty damn painful.
The recent episodes have some up-to-date information. It's an interesting one, for sure, a few red herrings in the mix. I liked the initial run of 7 or so episodes a lot but I get annoyed by the host for not editing out repetition or summarizing long interview chunks as opposed to just playing them. Like when he says,…
Ah, good to know it's not just me. I feel like only 3 of my guys can do any kind of damage and even when I google the opponent and try to type-match, I find my types lack the moves of their type (so my Electric type has no good Electric moves but picked up a decent Dark move). I'm constantly at the google for more…
Youtube search "Nuzlocke Polygon". The beginning of each video explains it - it's basically just a self-imposed set of rules for playing a Pokemon game which makes it much more difficult (you can only catch a limited amount of Pokemon and if they faint you have to release them). Griffin ends up forming these bonds to…
I'm guessing they meant the first podcast listed in the column, Why Oh Why. The description of that podcast doesn't endear me to it, though I won't judge it before listening. That one does seem like it's singularly focused on dating.
I've played JRPG's but never Pokemon, so it's a whole new world for me. So far I'm finding it fairly hard because I'm so new to the type mechanics. I can only imagine the hours of painful grinding Griffin had to do, since I'm doing the same now and trying to pass the time by listening to podcasts while I do it.…
The format of the show makes sense, but it definitely throws me off to see an audio world visualized. The cinematography makes Huntington look like California. I laughed out loud A LOT at Griffin's "YOU'RE THE SNAKE GUY!".
I tried it for three eps but couldn't get into it. Table-top RPG's never been my thing but perhaps I'll just be slow to warm to it, like the main podcast.
New layout looks nice.
I love reading before traveling to get a feel of the place (though I usually go for journalistic nonfiction), and to be honest reading while traveling to unwind in bed is great, too. Have a great trip!
How was Today Will Be Different? I loved Bernadette over my vacation last year (practically made for vacation reading).
I think he got over just based on that chant. I really didn't like the actual match he was in.
