Oh, nice, what's your take on SRK now that you've seen Dil Se? Did it alter your view of him any?

Watched the first series of the UK show My Mad Fat Diary (or is it My Fat Mad Diary?). Utter brilliance. Probably the best representation of mental disorders as well as what it's like to be an overweight teen, and just being a teen. It moved me to tears several times, and all the acting in it was gorgeous. It was also…
Weird. I didn't like this episode of I4H as much as the two previous weeks' editions.
It's my most listened to podcast episode of the year, possibly ever.
He's threatening in his own way, and that's what makes him more scary. I would not want that guy knowing my relatives' names or addresses or anything.
Jack Davenport is great and dreamy like cottoncandy clouds but that accent was not doing wonders for his performance here.
Sonia, welcome! Your previous writing on The Good Wife has been interesting, so I'm sure we'll enjoy your coverage of the most surprisingly great show on TV (not surprising in that it is great, but in the ways it becomes great).
I kind of dig Aamir in goofier stuff, like Dil Chahta Hai and his older 90's films, but recent Aamir is more grounded and interesting. I think the films I mentioned are ones I'd recommend the most. Ghajini, Fanaa and Dhoom 3 all feature interesting performances by the man but can be pretty…
Swades is not quite Lagaan but still a decent flick. Dil Se is another often-cited SRK career-best performance - it's that of an obsessive lover, and the film is kind of disturbing, but there are discussions that it is that because it is a metaphor of sorts.
I guess it depends on the guy and the presentation. If I don't buy it, I don't buy it - NXT squashes with the Ascension are matches where I get what they're selling but I just can't believe in it. It feels force-fed in the worst possible manner. However, a Brock Lesnar beatdown in any form is always believable and…
If that's true, what a sad state of affairs, and I'll withdraw my comment. I thought the "from normal hottie to MILF" cut off age in Hollywood was 40 at the very least, but I could be wrong.
I finally watched the original 70's Rollerball. I liked it but I had problems with it, that my friend said, "basically boil down to you not liking it because it's not the Hunger Games". Guilty as charged, I guess.
I just fucked up my FFIV replay on the DS because of a dumb glitch its got. Pissed me right off. It's as fun as it is frustrating, but I still count it as among my favorite FFs. The characters are just kind of fun.
It's fun to see those old Raw and Superstars episodes because you realize there was so much of the good (top-notch announcing teams back then - Gorilla, Bobby Heenan, hell, even Vince could be great) and great (some of the wrestlers back then, sublime) but then there's the rough shit that's just .. nope. It's always…
Yeah, the old episodes I found on youtube and suchlike went from "Oh I can spend an hour with this!" to "well, that killed about 20 mins" because I just watched the promos and the matches I knew would have some length and width and talent to them. I suppose I should learn not to hate the occasional squashes on NXT,…
It's been on my list for a while! Will fast-track it.
I love them as a pairing. Especially in that film. Have to gloat: last December I got to see it in Mumbai in that one theater that is still running it daily. Amazing, just amazing.
DDLJ is a classic but it is dated and not everybody's cuppa. My inner romanticist adores but that's me - I know as many fans of that film as haters of it. Shahrukh Khan overall splits people into haters and lovers. If you want to see films of his that aren't so 90's cheeseball, I'd recommend Chak De India. Great…
I adore Ball of Fire. One of my fondest memories is seeing it with a British friend at the BFI South Bank cinema, and the early Saturday matinee audience roaring with laughter. I was "this is classy as fuck, now let's go get drunk and find Gary Cooper-lookalikes in pubs." Sadly we found none but it was a great time…
Speak for your own good self. I saw this for the first time merely a few years ago and bought the DVD the moment I came across one. Sure it's got some flaws (bad pacing on the latter half) but the comedy and the characters, and the scene the article talks about, all the goodness in it makes it worthwhile even today.…
