Stop with the backhanded compliments. She's gorgeous and you mentioning her age as a way to undermine her seductiveness is kind of weird.

Between The Lady Eve and Ball of Fire, I want to be a Barbara Stanwyck character. Every day, all the time.

I caught the first ep of this (on Hulu if you missed it) and loved it, as expected. Hilarious, often in a quite horrifying way. I can't believe I didn't know this man's name until about a month ago and I feel ashamed.

Internet in the mornings is so addictive yet so necessary. And I am simultaneously worried and impressed by your nap schedule.

What sleep rhythms/schedules do you folks prefer? Early risers, up all night, something reasonable between those two? I used to be a 2AM bedtime type of gal but my current boss has a fondness for assigning me the early shifts, so I've been getting up around 4AM for my 6AM shifts as of late. It feels ludicrous to go

My first episode listening to that show was one of the OFF episodes, which was an instant turn-off, sad to say. They just seemed like douchebags who cared too deeply about liking "cool" things before everybody else came along and ruined them. Like ..just live and let live, geez.

Everything HR Giger and the whole Anne Frank bit and the nun/zero jokes, especially when August goes, "Vell in catholic school I vas taught by the zeros … trying something .. I don't know, some goof-arounds, maybe."

I just began watching this show and mainlined all 7 episodes in one sitting. Wow, what splendid subtle drama. I think the pace can be slow, but I don't find it boring at all, and thus far I've loved getting to know these characters. Even as they mess up little things, or royally, I'm invested, and this feels like a

Ditto Smartest Man in the World. It may be the same shit every week but sometimes that's the brilliant comforting thing about it, and that's one of the reasons you tune in.

Smartest Man can still be so great, though I totally get why Podmass stopped covering it.

It was the second or third podcast I ever listened to. I'm not a huge fan of the other pods on the network, but I've stuck with Smodcast the Mothership because sometimes that podcast takes off on an imaginary scenario that is just fucking comedy gold, whether it's Guy LaPointe or the dude from Foreigner on the cereal

I really liked 20 Feet from Stardom, about background singers - these were the artists whose work I'd been listening to, without really noticing it. It was nice to see a documentary give them their due acknowledgment.

I join the other person in the thread saying try savoury, perhaps? It's tough, combating what works for one's body and what doesn't (I discovered my breakfast routine by accident, suddenly landing on a combo that really worked). Another thing you could try - if possible/not frowned upon at your work - is just eating

I've been dreaming about starting a novelty liquor company, too bad I lack everything needed to make that dream a reality: a business plan, a business partner, investment, skills in all relevant areas, and ambition.

God, not sure what the issue is but NuDisqus is completely f'ed for me right now. It's taking out all the joy of browsing TI. Booo.

That's weird. Oatmeal usually keeps one sated a long time. Try having an egg in some form alongside the oatmeal (like a fried egg or a boiled egg) for more protein? A protein-filled breakfast usually keeps me unhungry for 5-6 hours, so up until lunch. Small piece of good wholewheat bread, fried egg on top, cottage

Black licorice is the only licorice.

It'd be fine in the summer or spring but since it's winter, I usually feel like I should eat something warm to feel fully sated. I guess if I could dress it up by warming up something in the microwave, like some salmon or chicken pieces..

Not a guy but: bought two shades of lipstick last weekend, and have been wearing both this week, and they both really fit my look and I've been feeling classy all week thanks to adding them to my make up repertoire.

Feta is a huge favorite of mine, and I have quinoa and bulgur (which I prefer to quinoa sometimes, just because it requires no pre-boil rinse and cooks super-fast) in the cupboard. Good call!
