Or batting away flies at least.

This movie and its marketing materials highlight an issue I have with contemporary movies set in harsh environments (of any time period): their clothing reads as fresh from a costume trailer and not as a lived in article. Am I really supposed to believe that a group of assorted rough and tumble men that are running

What about that logo for Westworld??

Amazon at least has the decency to isolate Showtime (and other channels) content to a separate feed. Hulu's mega amalgamation of content sources regardless of add-on restrictions is totally confusing at best, hair pulling level frustrating at worst.

This looks wonderful. Except for her wig. Lace front distraction.

Faux-documentary ≠ Mockumentary. Let's get it right Emily.

Well to be fair to Ripley, she doesn't really start to kick into high gear until the crew numbers are so low that she basically has nothing left to lose. She's shown enough strength up until that point that defeat without effort is never her MO.

This is a movie that I saw in a theater that had it's parking lot surrounded by a dense wooded area. This was the wrong theater to see this movie at.

Counter This: A movie doesn't have to hold up to repeat viewings.

The movie was presented as real for maybe up until the week it was released, when somebody broke that all the people in the film were alive (and were actors). This was very much withheld information and part of a deliberate campaign to present the movie essentially as a documentary made with found footage, but of

Hopefully the episode structure will feel better once the next episode (and normal running time) return next week. This main challenge is exactly the type of shit that I cannot stand from this show. Meaning, it was clearly overly rehearsed prior to the start of the season, and too much was done off screen for anything

Yup. And for cases where something like iTunes Extras exists, I don't get why a rental can't include all that too. The fact that the rentals are straight up a stripped down version of the film is a joke.

It's easy why this is the case. For digital video, be it film or television, rental or ownership, the value proposition is totally out of whack for what you get.
