I can bet that the only measurable that Univision cares about is how many views various articles get now that they get propagated throughout the various gawker sites. So it’s less about bringing over the existing AV Club audience, and more retaining and slightly growing the existing blob conglomerate.

As far as I’m concerned, the AV Club of my memory died on its way back to its home planet.

The spectrum of what a reality competition includes is weird too. Project Runway and Drag Race, and Top Chef to a lesser extent, are intense multi-skill based, Amazing Race is questionable in how to quantify, and The Voice and Ninja Warrior are essentially feats of strength with big surrounding production values.…
