I agree. I loved Orphan Black season 1 like a lot of people, but season 2 really started to suffer from my lack of give-a-shit about almost any non-clone character. The last two episodes sat unwatched on my DVR for almost a month.

I mean, I agree with him that his writing staff does, in fact, have some people on it that have worked on some good (even great) shows before. That is not really translating to his show though, so it doesn't actually matter.

You are more optimistic than I - I've seen nothing from NBC's comedy department that makes me believe in any way they will be replacing their old guard sitcoms with good new shows. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was the only one that perked my interest even 1% and it will no longer be on NBC.

You know nothing, Darth Vader

I bet at least Luke will have a pretty big role. Harder to guess about Han and Leia, though I guess that if you had Harrison Ford you'd want to use him as much as possible.

The popular rumor all year long has been that Daisy Ridley's character was Han and Leia's daughter, but unless she's in disguise or was sent off as a young one ala Luke and Leia, this trailer makes me question whether that is true. She looks more like a Tatooine commoner to me.

He had a fantastic eye in American Graffiti and the original Star Wars. Unfortunately, CGI distracted him really badly in Phantom Menace and especially the largely visually hideous Attack of the Clones. In its best moments, Revenge of the Sith finally showed him adapting CGI to his original stronger filmmaking

She was basically likable, if bland, in Spider-Man 3.

Especially the initial T-Rex attack scene by the fence. I'd probably pick it as one of the top five best special effects scenes ever.

"…ZERO DARK THIRTY. THE O.C."

10 years old instead of 20, but also The Hobbit. The CGI orcs in The Hobbit movies are not even 1% as awesome looking as the prosthetic/makeup-created orcs in the Lord of the Rings movies.

I guess Zeljko is more of a "that guy" actor. People see him pop up in a TV show or film and go, "Hey, it's that guy!"

Surely Zeljko Ivanek has earned the right to be called B-list! Or perhaps C+ list.

It's a trailer!

Mulaney is the obvious consensus pick, but my honest gut instinct is to say Manhattan Love Story, because I think it is the new show this fall least likely to be remembered by a single human being who didn't work on it or obsessively follow 2014 TV ratings in five years. Like, Mulaney will live forever in discussions

Yes. The fewer words you can more or less accurately sum up the film in, the more high concept. Thus why Jaws is the ultimate high-concept film, being able to be summed up as: SHARK!

I am pleased by this news. It isn't the world's greatest show, but I still hated the idea of it leaving off at the season 3 cliffhanger ending. I'll be watching season 4.

Funnily, despite it generally being regarded as a tiny-rated joke network for babies, I'm now watching more CW shows than any of the other four major networks - Arrow, The Flash, Jane the Virgin and Supernatural vs Bob's Burgers, Brooklyn 9-9 and Gotham for Fox, Scandal, SHIELD and Nashville for ABC, just Parenthood

Was kinda great. Small but important distinction.

Nah, seems fair to me; episodes like In the Shadow of Two Gunmen, Bartlet for America and Two Cathedrals are about as good as any TV I've ever seen.
