"B" seems reaallllyyy generous. Opening with an outlandish scenario that is - shock! - a dream sequence is Sitcom Hackwork 101. I absolutely cannot stand the forced-breakout-character vibe of French Stewart's character. The insanely long and over-detailed with no music under them "previously on"s remain vaguely creepy.

It being a sitcom on ABC, I'm guessing the emphasis is on the "nearly."

1. X2
2. First Class
3. X-Men
4. Wolverine
5. Last Stand
6. Origins: Wolverine

I liked this more than the season's first two episodes (which, granted, isn't saying all that much, but still). It had its stupid bits - this is Homeland, after all - but the hour flew by really fast, which is more than I can say for last night's Boardwalk Empire.

Hey now…! As a fan of several ABC Family shows, I take offense at the notion that the network is shitty enough to be a proper home to Dana Brody's godawful storyline. (Then again, they still deserve to be beat up for canceling Bunheads. Why, ABC Family?!)

Loved Varrick's "evil anime guy" face at the end.

On the flip side, if it premieres now, it might get more scripts ordered and get extended past its 13 episode order.

This feels like a slightly higher-budget version of one of those Saturday straight-to-syndication adventure shows (Xena, Hercules:TLJ, Legend of the Seeker, etc.).

Well if that's what they wanted they should have left it where it was on Tuesdays! Dumb, dumb NBC.

Parenthood's promos are second only to Switch at Birth's in the extent to which they bend over backwards to falsely represent scenes as way more over dramatic than they actually are. It's kind of pointless because five seasons in the show's audience is pretty much it's audience and they know what it is.

This was easily my favorite network premiere of the fall, new show or returning. They really came back swinging.

As a fan of Switched at Birth, Breaking Bad and Community, I'm equally excited about RJ Mitte going from Breaking Bad to Switched at Birth and Katie Leclerc going from Switched at Birth to Community. Well, somewhat more excited about the former, because I imagine his role will be bigger.

Pretty much everything he does in the season one episode where he sings "She's a GBD" is classic.

AHHHHHHH!!! AHHHHHHHH!! *drives off*

I liked that one and the body-swap episode. The documentary one was ok, if only for the trout farmer guy.

I'd love to see Michael B. Jordan is just about anything, but between this and Star Wars I'd be more curious to see him Star Wars (that weird Rocky spinoff/sequel thing they talked about coming in a distant third).

Having thought on it a little, here's my fantasy recasting for this show to try to make it so I don't find the cast dull as fucking dishwater:

It is a great line. It suggests just enough while leaving things tantalizingly mysterious.

@avclub-c1bac1d55ebcc415d61552acbfbb219d:disqus That's the best casting idea I've heard so far. In fact now I'm bummed they didn't just go that way from the start. Jed Whedon/Maurissa Tancharoen should really be dipping into their Spartacus connections for this show - tons of ridiculously good-looking  people with
