Who is more awkward in their appropriation of hip-hop slang?  Ke$ha or Lana Del Rey?

Yep.  In a perfect world, that wouldn't have any effect on the critical response to the music itself, but oh man, that was a hilarious train-wreck and a total PR disaster for her. Those things do count among critics.

Eerily close to my personal list, though I was less taken by "Until the Quiet Comes."  Good record, but it couldn't help but disappoint me after "Cosmogramma." Anyways, you call your taste in music "predictable," but I think it's pretty awesome.

Nerd question!  Where do you all think Big Boi ranks among Dungeon Family MCs? I would put him in fourth place, right in front of Goodie-era Cee-lo, and behind  3K, Killer Mike, and Witchdoctor.  But I love Witchdoctor way more than the average person does.

Did they really?  It seemed like Big Boi was marketing this album directly towards their readership with the inclusion of Wavves and Phantogram.  I haven't heard this album yet but I am excited to.  "Son of Chico Dusty" had some real gems on it for a middle-aged rap album.

Great to hear The Bugle get back into sillier territory.  John in particular was so dispirited and angry during election season.  Not saying he didn't have lots of good reasons to be, just saying that sometimes I don't want cutting political satire; sometimes I just want to hear about Eisenhower's plans to blow up the

This was one of the more appalling things I have seen on network TV.  It was hateful towards women and towards people with intellectual disabilities in equal measure.  There was nothing subversive about it either; it was just ugly and pointless.  I've liked-not-loved this show up until now, but this episode is making

I just listened to it.  It's great.  The way Mel Brooks keeps trying and failing to remember the co-hosts' names is utterly charming.  He was a similarly rambling but hilarious on "Conan" the other night.
