I'm thinking the week 2 box office will be a better indicator of that. I loved the movie, but I have my doubts on how many "normal" folks are digging it. Out of my group of friends, the ones unfamiliar with the comic thought it was depressing and they didn't like the characters.

I went to see Snakes on a Plane with a bunch of friends. We are all generic nerds, so a little overweight. About 1/2 way through the movie, one of my friend's chair makes a loud CRACK and falls over. About 10 minutes later, my brother's chair… CRACK, and he falls. So it's like going down our row of us getting knocked

And I believe the Harry & the Hendersons music was soaring in the background too, making the scene even more emotional.

Laugh while you can, a-monkey boy!

Count me in. I thought she'd say "Whoa" or another Neo-ism. Then I felt terribly old.

My wife used to do college radio and got close to good ol' Wesley, but avoided him. She didn't want to risk that head butt.

Jack will just keep pushing Hurley into dangerous situations so he needs to be rescued. Although I suppose we don't HAVE to have Action Jack in the 70s, since Dharma has plenty of booze for Mopey Jack.

Nice theory. It sure wouldn't be fun to have too many run-of-the-mill emergency plane landings.

Wouldn't the six call him Jeremy Bentham just to make it easier to maintain their cover? If someone overheard them talking about a dead passenger from the flight, that would be pretty suspicious, especially since Jack was convinced that Widmore was going to be watching them anyway.

I can handle a giant spider.

Hmm. Good point about Ben, Yummsh. I was just impressed how quickly Juliet warmed up to Sawyer when Jack flew off in the chopper at the end of last season.

I don't know. The Dharma guys seem pretty ineffective. LaFleur walked in and became the head of security. The Arrow was the security hatch that has the poison gas, right? I don't see what other real weapon Dharma has to hold off the Hostiles. Richard has got Dharma's number, it seems to me.

Rose, Bernard, and Vincent surely deserve on-screen deaths. I've got to figure they will show up again too.

That whole last book was pretty anti-climactic. At the end, when King said "stop reading now if you like your stories to have endings" I actually stopped reading.

I figured it may just boil down to having a highly skilled doctor and genius doesn't make sense for a salvage vessel.

I play way too many FPS, when I played Myst I kept waiting to have to beat off some kind of attacker or find a new gun.

If the price for moving the island is that they stay in the present (like Ben and Locke did) then the woman who paddled off with Lapidus couldn't be Sun. I had assumed it had to be her since she's the only other Ajira passenger "in the know."

Is it me, or did Jack seem a bit happy to see Sawyer? Poor dumb Jack doesn't realize he's about to get tossed into the love triangle again.

This has been my #1 thought since watching last night. Sawyer and the gang only knew Jack and the main Losties for a few months, but they have had YEARS to develop this pretty great life with the Dharma Initiative. Their loyalty at this point should really be to their new home, I would think. Depending on how long

Out of those choices, wouldn't Jack be the logical choice? Unless my fears that Tony is still evil are founded…
