Bru's Namor is spot-on. In the last issue Namor drops from the sky and KO's some dude, and then just stands there looking like he's impressed with himself. Perfect.

JVS, good call on Astro City and Top 10, although I think Astro City would be easier for a beginner. I fear all those tiny details might derail a new reader in Top 10.

I have to say some of the old 80s classics hold up well too. Steven Grant's Punisher trade is a nice gateway for someone who digs action movies but isn't too sure about the spandex yet.
