I was actually thinking about this a while back. The show is getting stale because we've had the same characters for so long, and there's not much else the show can do with them. So rotate new characters in, get the old ones out (especially Jim & Pam), and take it in new places. It could work! Or, if the writing's

I'm sure that if Tim & Eric ever came back, the reviewers would be all over it.

It's funny that this show has 12 comments just being on last night, while the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine reviews get hundreds of comments, and that show's been off the air for 13 years. Seriously, no love for BFF, people?

@avclub-18d84eb30b59b5f3cc748bfe9f68b472:disqus , that is one of the funniest lines in the entire series. I love DS9's dark humor way better than its light-hearted humor.

"…leave a bit to be desired" is quite generous.

This is a remake of the Melissa Joan Hart show in the same way that Batman Begins is a remake of the 60's Batman TV show. As in, it's really just another version of a comic book character. I don't read Archie comics…maybe she actually is more like a superhero in them?

@avclub-ba56a1fd70b8c7aff17bf4c58e614b42:disqus , if only Terry Farrell had been able to bring out the asshole a little more, I might have liked the character. I just don't think that's in her wheelhouse.

Maybe prehistoric Trill would go on trips to some funky underground caves, where some of them would wake up the next day much wiser. It's fun to imagine little slugs wiggling into their nostrils or ears while they sleep.

I think the first great Dax episode is "Tears of the Prophets" ;)

Zack, were you kidding when you said we might remember Glover from Gremlins 2? What else could we remember him from? Maybe…Smallville?

"Invasive Procedures" was entertaining enough and well-written, and John Glover was great. But still, something about it doesn't sit quite right with me. Maybe it's that the symbiont integrated so well with Verad, when the two of them should've had lots of conflicting emotions.

Does anybody really need to watch any show?

Great, now I have the urge to go watch Cabin Boy…pretty much the same as this movie, right?

I mean, everyone on the boards will get JVDB wrong, but thanks for not leaving me hanging. (My communication skills are off today.)

He could review the show himself on this website, and then that would be next week's episode. I'd watch that show.

I didn't mean you specifically, more like everyone on the boards.

I can imagine the AVClub style guide now. A menacing picture of a vaguely nerdy guy on the cover, stark reminders on the inside:

They're using the TMBG style of capitalization.

Emily…you got the JVDB wrong in your bullets as JVBD. Somehow, I think this is something that will happen many, many times over this show's lifetime. Let's start speculating what the alternate abbreviation could mean!

Actually, TGWW was written by Tom MacRae.
