For me, the weird thing about the Black Keys is that after about 20 seconds I've heard enough. They'd make an excellent rhythm section but the songs are pretty boilerplate. I'm not saying I don't like them, but listening to an album of theirs feels like an album of templates or something. Maybe I'm alone in this.

His Ice-T being the most insufferable example, being just a guy with a slight lisp who says things that have no connection whatsoever to Ice-T.
