It's kind of an amazing feat. Here we had this universe with some wacky paranormal investigators in an otherwise "real world," and then, after years of comics, the apocalypse comes. And they keep telling stories.

I'm a huge fan of "Sandman Mystery Theatre" (and was collecting it as it came out, to show how old I am). "The Nevermen" was also great in terms of Davis' art, but it was undone by its almost-not-there story.
