What a fantastically complex issue this has become. I do think there is a line where someone is outright being unethical when using another's creations, but where is that line? I don't think these prequels are it. I wonder what Gibbons' take on this is. I haven't found anything from him on it yet.

Could be, but I just saw this:

This is also the first thing I thought of. Considering his original idea was for Dr. Manhattan and Nite Owl to be Captain Atom and Blue Beetle,  his argument sort of fails.

But could he capture the ever-shifting mood of the Jack Elam constituency?

She's French. You know that.

The hate hate bandwagon bandwagon?

Chronicle: You'll believe a teenager can mope.

I have no eye for fashion?!?!

Ruined, or made better?

I am a well-wisher, in that I don't wish him any specific harm.

Stop. You had me at "elf orgies."

You know, for kids.

The end of that scene is the best, when George suddenly pops in and he and Jerry just stare at each other.

Wait, I thought that was every week.

IIRC, the terrorists claimed they had bombs and repeatedly told the passengers they were returning to the airport and would be safe if they didn't try anything. Which is, you know, what most plane hijackers actually did. The passengers on Flight 93 called their bluff; the others did not (that we know of).

See, you can tell this is a joke, because nobody has actual work to return to these days.

HAVE SOME RESPECT, THE MAN IS DEAD.

I just can't get my head into The Nerdist. I've subscribed and unsubscribed from that thing a million times. I keep trying. I think it's the unfocused nature of the entire production…am I crazy?

Yeah, that's true, but through all the interviews with SNL people, they all pretty much say that, yes, Lorne is a weirdo. It seems to me that when Maron talks about it, he's generally not bitter about it. I've only been a listener for about 10-11 months, though, so I haven't heard all his shows.

I don't know, I could see Lorne Michaels doing it; he seems fairly open in other interviews of him I've seen here and there. Or does he have a rep for not doing interviews very often or something?
