Also… Seinfeld actors on Carnivale (the latter of which I've been catching up on, thanks to the AV Club's coverage here).

"Santa Begins": the gritty story of an orphan with hypothyroidism who had the one Christmas gift ever given to him stolen… by street toughs. And how he started kicking ass, making toys, and taking names. Topher Grace is Claus. JULY 4, 2014.

@avclub-d89b833158f0d9a73fd33bb243fe5786:disqus , as long as some sort of sweeping, knee-jerk judgment was made of a group of people, it's all good.

I checked who liked @avclub-c252b9390befbfe200d59090a071c413:disqus's comments and was, like, "where the fuck did these names come from?" and then checked your likes and kept nodding — yes, yes, I've seen these names in comments for shows that I watch.  Clearly, in the AV Club, the people are represented by two

You know, after typing "number two", I was going to backspace "nail on the head" and replace it with a joke about poop but @avclub-bc98021b16ce113cecd539e1555c6125:disqus's point was too good to even remotely sully by association. If it's appropriate now… djf881 absolutely laid a brick of truth with number two.

@RantersGonnaRant:disqus , the whole Suck It thing happened after David Wallace left Dunder-Mifflin.  Sure, based on his previous title, he might be responsible for mismanaging much of the company's initial problems but, pre-Sabre, he always had an aura of being professional and grounded in reality. I don't recall

I think they should stay in the office more. Dial down the absurdity, which has been edging crazier ever since Michael drove his car into the lake because the GPS said so. This show is at its best when it does office-related stuff — the little things these people have to do or come up with to get through the day. The

Wow, you absolutely hit the nail on the head with number two. Now that I think back, I remember many people saying that they didn't like The Office because it was so cringe-worthy at times — like Michael totally misreading the signals and trying to kiss Pam (during the Diwali episode, I think?), or Scott's Tots. It

Speaking of David Wallace… why, exactly, is he giving 5% of the money from the Suck It patent sale to Robert California? That was the most ridiculous part of the episode. Is the return of D-Dub not supposed to herald a return to a more professional and competent corporate master? It was out of character for David

Ugh, they came this close to getting rid of Catherine Tate's annoying character.  So, so close. They've toned her down, but some memories cannot be erased.  I think I may have to tap out.

Surprisingly, I've noticed a lot of initial negative comments to new shows that later go on to become well-received around these parts.  It happened with Parks and Recreation a bit and I especially noticed it with Happy Endings.  Sure, shows take a while to gain their footing, but those shows were not nearly as

I felt compelled to seek out this review and add my two cents in after I finally got around to watching it.  I could not possibly agree with you more.  I can't really speak to the marketing behind this movie, as I don't recall being exposed to any of it.  However, part of the job of a good review ought to be to cut

Not bad, Adams, although Todd Vanderwerff is able to write this in a CAVE. With a lineup of Monday scraps.

You've gotta be the worst spammer.  Get a Murrikan username like a Nikki or Stacy.  Literally no one is going to click that.

Me… I am one of those mysterious people.  Community is my favorite show, and I watch all the other good-to-great shows like Curb, Parks&Rec, IASIP, Childrens Hospital, Louie, Archer, and many others… but I still think there's room in my TV diet for some junk like Two and a Half Men.  It's just a decent show to have on

"2 Broke Girls" too.  And now, just "Girls".  Just wait for that much-buzzed-about FX pilot that's floating around, which distills the trend into its essence: "Grrr."  It's gonna be the next big thing.

Seriously, I wasn't expecting tonight to be a total wasteland.  I thought there would at least be some new HIMYM or something.  Boy, do I regret watching both Game of Thrones and Mad Men late last night.  I feel like a kid who ate all his Halloween candy right away.

Anyone else ever watch The Hollowmen — the Australian show sort of like The Thick Of It, I think?  It was set in Australia's fictitious Central Policy Unit.  That was a hilarious show, but I don't think I've seen it mentioned on this site once, not even in comments.
