Speaking of balls… my memory is a bit hazy on the show's pilot now, but I do believe that every actor/actress in the pilot is no longer with the show, with the sole exception of Manu Bennett (Crixus). Either they have all been killed off or, in Andy Whitfield's case, died in real life.  This has to be unprecedented

Thanks to your comment, now whenever I see Will Arnett on TV, all I will see is Craig Parker's penis.

Oh it's not that bad.  Not everything can be Community.  It's entertaining.  There is just this hugely negative association with multi-camera sitcoms these days.

It's strange that The Big Bang Theory isn't mentioned.  Maybe Adams figures if he can get one person to watch Community instead, it would all be worth it?

Crixusface needs to become a thing, like Jackface.

I keep wondering too about how their bodies aren't in famine mode.  The calories and muscles not deteriorating — the biochemistry of it all — is The Island of this show.  There is a central mystery.

What was the Roman law concerning property?  After Ilythia's father died, I remember someone on the show saying that Glaber could only hold his father-in-law's property in trust (or something) for an eventual male heir, right?  So Ilythia needs her husband around for legal purposes only until an heir is born?  If so,

Please, then we will all fret about how many episodes are initially ordered and then again when it's cut from 22 to 15 and again when it's further cut down to 10 and again when it's pulled after episode 5 and again when we worry about whether it will be profitable to release on DVD and again when we harangue the

Pretty fucking good.

Wynn had a total 'sorry, bro' face during the bar scene, like a friend whose wife got hammered and vomited at a buddy's party would have.

Yeah, season grades are especially important for TV shows.  TV, as a medium, is a big time commitment.  I know some reviewers post a line or two giving a season grade at the end of a finale's review but I think there are a couple of problems with that.  For instance, with American Horror Story — a show that I'm on the

House? — you belittle the man.  It's gotta be a lair.

@Girard

20 teams — 10 in Canada, 10 in the US — is ideal.

I still don't understand how Facebook, Twitter (and now there's a Tumblr and Pinterest?), etc. all differ from Geocities.

I do appreciate the NHL mentions.  I'm always worried reading them that the comment will devolve into an ironic or sarcastic tone — or snarky comparisons to the WNBA or MLS — but they don't.  Keeping it in the public consciousness, one What's On Tonight at a time.

Without getting into specifics, does the story of the black guy from Jericho and Snatch who was in the pilot get resolved in the comics?  Is he even in there?  What about Merle?  I just want to know if they will be revisiting those characters at some point.

The NHL's conference realignment plan was rejected by the union.  Get your head in the game, Adams!

@avclub-b7784c8bc13cfa7214f249fef97abfe9:disqus, of course I didn't cut and paste.

Absolutely, but I think TWD would be more compelling if there was more movement.  That doesn't mean they should venture out pointlessly, but the writers can come up with threats — zombie or otherwise — that force them to uproot the group more often.
