I like how you have to have Community as one of your shows in order to see this; I don't see a link anywhere other than through notifications.  It's the AV Club's way of extorting everyone to sign up for stuff so they can push notifications.

Is it OK to have a little Two and a Half Men for dessert, as long as I eat my AV Club vegetables?  I watch all the great stuff too, I swear.

I just realized after clicking your picture that it's not the Oscar statue, but something far more alarming.

'guo-time…

How about "Iguo-citement"?

That first paragraph may as well have been in Korean.  Not that it was badly written by any means, but I've never been more lost when reading about something TV-related in my whole life.  A Tennessee what-now?  To the videos I go…

While it doesn't change the experience along the way, when you feel burned by something to the point where you don't want to try another so-called 'high concept' show again, then I'd argue that it's wholly responsible for killing an entire genre for you.

Here come some spoilers…. @avclub-4192ae6cd25a066cf7e97e2d732f4c3e:disqus, what I find even more infuriating about those Lost finale defenders is how they overlook — or don't question — the showrunners who basically think that killing pretty much everyone is a satisfying end to any given character's arc.  When it

I like to think that if you ignore "Not Penny's boat" and "we have to go back," that is a perfect stopping point.  Through the Looking Glass was a fantastic episode of TV and the high water mark for the show (blowing the shit out of the Others, making contact, Ben getting smacked around, etc.).

There's a tuna joke in there somewhere; I can't quite get a handle on it.

Typo that still makes sense since it has a very similar meaning? — that's a paddlin'. Pointing out that typo? — oh you better believe that's a paddlin'

Will the subsequent one be arriving at an accelerated pace?

I remember reading that Robert Maschio (The Todd) and Zach Braff are expected to be on it this year.  Haven't heard anything about Faison, though.

Nobody will be better dressed on TV at 10:00 than Raylan Givens.   Nobody.

I love sports too, @avclub-f89827bb9d3e10d3c0abbe32af4af1f2:disqus, but sometimes the reasoning behind following them can be pretty shaky, especially if you don't play the sport yourself.  Maybe we all can just acknowledge that sports, reality and scripted TV are all just giant time sucks.  Just a way to pass the

@avclub-2bc89f96d5af36cd7c598b934297491f:disqus, that's the kind of comment that gets you up and promoted to another thread where you can post there with your nice title and bayonet and stop freaking me out.

@avclub-f89827bb9d3e10d3c0abbe32af4af1f2:disqus, that perspective makes sense.  It's sort of analagous to how the AV Club's newswire and articles are more about the product/craft, as you say, compared to TMZ's 'reality' approach to the personal lives of entertainers — which is why I like this website.

@olivececile:disqus and @avclub-ab0de82241e387d3de66d8227f3f7f08:disqus, what's this loincloth show you both refer to?  It sounds atrocious.

@nahska:disqus, I haven't seen the director's cut yet — although I have it on Blu-Ray, I've promised to watch it with a friend — but have also heard the same praise.  I loved the original too, so if this can improve upon that, I continue to have high hopes.
