Another vote for regular coverage here — this show is pure fluff and escapist television without much thinking required.  Watching this show generally just leaves me happy (as opposed to a HIMYM where I laugh but get frustrated with the start-stop plot points that are just killing time between revealing random body…

They do take themselves SO damn seriously on this show; Elena in particular.  I think that might be what drives me crazy about her character.  At least you have Damon for occasional one-liners and spare moments of brevity.

I like that Jon Hamm has become a part-time SNL player… He was in this episode, LiLo's episode, in the digital short last week, hosted last fall & I think he was in Fallon or Maya's eps too. We didn't see as much Timberlake this yer, but hopefully they'll both be back in the fall to host.

And yet…. I still feel superior to those who watch Grey's Anatomy still. Or that horrid LA Complex show I keep seeing previews for. Or anything on CBS Monday except HiMYM. Yes, I have to put others down to feel better about myself.
