I love that there is a very special recap devoted to this guilty pleasure of mine!

It's so annoying to read these recaps as a first time watcher.  Stop spoiling things that you happen to know!  I've stayed spoiler free, so please stop putting that crap in the recaps!  3 years late, I know, but argh.

I'm feeling damn vindicated right now. And also depressed, but damn vindicated.

That whole head trauma thing was instantly lame when the previews show Elena up & kicking in next week's episode. Way to build suspense for about five seconds TVD!

The other icky part is how the brother's friendship is such an emotional core of the show.  You really lose that grounding when they keep having Elena come between the two.  I care less about who Elena chooses than I do about whether the brothers are working together towards a common goal.

I think it's similar to when Klaus took over Alaric's body.  Alaric wasn't dead, just somewhere buried in there.  But, Klaus could take full advantage of Alaric's human body to walk into houses without being invited (why Esther could use Rebekah's body to go into the cave).  With that logic, Rebekah should still be

I completely agree on Bonnie's awfulness this episode, or maybe it was just the actress.  I was activelly annoyed during her crying/breakdown scene… why should I care about her (or her mom or her grams or anyone else in her family)?!??

I thought this episode was one of the better this season.  I'm apparently in the minority of thinking Quinn and Barney are good together, but maybe it's just because I really like Becki Newton and NPH.  Jason Segal and Josh Radnor's kiss was a highlight of the entire season — I felt like I was watching SNL w. the

I would totally watch "The Damon and Stefan Show" sans Elena.  I would love if it were also followed up by a Kardashian-style show of the Original family… Next week: Rebekah considers divorcing her werewolf husband because after that last full moon, things just really aren't working, and Elijah starts a style company
