Another one of my comments buried at the bottom of the pile.
Note to self: Next time, comment first, then read review. Tonight I'll be making a notepad document filled with random Arrested Development quotes, so all I'll have to do is copy and paste.

I see your point. But the fact that Greenberg just barely saves itself from MPDG territory is a problem in and of itself. I guess it's true that, unlike in a true MPDG film, the writer never attempts to trick us into thinking that the obnoxious male lead is actually quite likable. But then we're just left with an

I kinda liked Greenberg, but Gerwig's character was only an inch away from becoming a Manic Pixie Dream Girl. The only thing that saved her was that, unlike the true MPDG, she was actually quite likable. But it still made no sense that she liked Stiller's character, who was a relentless asshole.

Nipples on the costumes.

He does kinda look like Hitler in his wikipedia photo.

@Reformed Calvinist -

Was The Other Guys a hit?

Wahlberg seems like an obviously terrible casting choice, and I say this knowing next to nothing about the Uncharted series. Is he even considered bankable? I can't think of any big hit he has starred in recently.

Aren't Fillion and Wahlberg about the same age?

Empire was best in the series, without a doubt
Probably because Lucas let Kershner do what he wanted. If Lucas was directing, do you think he would have allowed Harrison Ford to ad-lib? If I remember correctly, the famous "I know" line was written as "I love you, too." Ugh.

I don't think it's based on anything. The demo was pretty good, but I felt that Majin was often underused and/or only used to complete typical adventure game puzzle tasks. For instance, in one sequence, Majin just replaces the role of the ubiquitous movable box found in so many adventure games. Also, the character

I saw Minority Report, but I remember almost nothing about, other than the fact that it was terrible and it had a lot of product placement, so I'll have to take your collective words for it.

Um, yes, Battlestar Galactica:

Ah. People were hitting one another so much throughout that promo, I kind of lost track of the whys and wherefores. Still, Galactica. Frak! Amirite?

Odd Battlestar Galactica reference
with the prophet-woman creature in the tub hooked up to tubes. Looked like a reference without a joke, though.

You got some big-chinned schlub reading typos from the Palookaville Post!
Here's a headline for you! Nobody cares!

Hold on there buddy. The He-Man/Thundercats cross over is still in pre-pre-production. We're not even going to think about casting that until we start seeing dailies for He-Man 3 - my sense is that Ellen Page as She-Ra is not gonna work out.

3D and gritty. You will think you are the grit. But at one point, one of the characters will make a knowing aside about the film's not-so-gritty roots. "It's better than wearing tights," Man-At-Arms will be heard to remark, and you will laugh.

I would make a comment about how Hollywood has run out of original ideas.
But that comment ceased being original about 15 years ago, making me a Hollywood hack in my own right. Which reminds me - have you read my script for a live-action reimagineering of He-Man? Seth Rogen is attached as the voice of Battle Cat.

@Calvinist - I kind of see what you're saying about Blueberry Boat. I saw them live when they were touring on that album. The show was disappointing. They seemed like one of those bands that didn't know what was good about their own material, if that makes sense.
