Robert Osborne is the man
And he's pretty good at making fun of himself, too. Check his guest appearance on an episode of "Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law"!

Sorry, Scott…
Have to disagree with you. Maybe it was the fact that the crowd was really into it, but I thought this was the best comedy I've seen so far this year (I know there hasn't been much competition, but still). I enjoy Seth Rogen's work, but it always feels like he's playing variations of himself, so it was…
My only real problem with Season 3 is that they couldn't get Stephen Colbert to reprise his role as Professor Impossible. Having him voiced by someone trying to do a Colbert impersonation really threw me off. Besides, only Stephen can deliver lines like
I'll only watch it if Moss comes on to pitch his AbracadaBra.
I salute you, Eastbound!
I would much rather people remember my hometown as the place this show was filmed in rather than "One Tree Hill".
I don't think David Hayter has anything to worry about.
Looks like "Watchmen"s gonna be number one this week simply by default.
Hurry and preserve it!
These compilations are even more important now that places like the Film-Makers' Cooperative, which carries over 5,000 experimental film titles, is being threatened with eviction. http://tinyurl.com/d825h7
The part that really had an effect on me was the guy dressed like Superman waving to Jimmy from the roof of a building…and then promptly jumping off.
I think they said Aphex Twin was fine with them using the sample, but the record label wanted an astronomical amount of money, so they decided to take the track off the album.
Look at the posters
The schizophrenic nature of Tyler Perry's films are perfectly evidenced in the wide variety of poster art that's made to promote them:
I guess…
Once you get a vocalist, you have to start adhering to some sort of structure, something Bad Plus has never really enjoyed doing.
Criterion already decided to leave out the Blu-Ray packaging and just keep the box size. Smart move (as usual).
HBO has had a history of large, cumbersome DVD box sets for their shows (Sopranos, SFU, the aforementioned Sex & The City boxes).
Once I got the wedged-in coupons and other bullshit out of it, the 3-disc WALL*E special edition is nice…and eco-friendly, 'cause apparently that's, like, the new thing. Also, will someone explain to me the purpose of the third disc after you've transferred the digital file version of the film?
I don't know. I kinda liked the idea of making it intentionally difficult for people to find their way through a DVD menu.
Kinda makes me glad that my brother got me the non-special edition version that was just the four discs in individual plastic cases, all in a cardboard case. Nothin' else.
I'm sorry…
…but shouldn't that read "It's a formula, yes, but one that works 'Again & Again'"?
I remember one PG rating because of "swashbuckling action." If you ask me, that sounds more like a critic blurb than a rating tag.
On the positive side…
M.I.A. is up for Best Original Song. Who saw that one coming?
Never seen that Air video before
I love when music videos for soundtracks work the artist (or in this case, lip-synching chewing gum) into the film, like Aimee Mann's video for "Save Me."
