Aide from being open ended, it also spares her surviving family of knowing she committed suicide. If she shot herself then Jill will know she shot herself, but now Jill will just think it was just a tragic scuba accident.

I barely remember it, though if I'm recalling correctly, that sounded more like urban legend talk to me. I mean, just a couple episodes ago Grace said the lady at the grocery store vanished right in front of her, and she was pretty chill about it. Kevin was having sex with a woman when she departed, and we see him…
Its not that all dogs went feral, the feral dogs we've seen are just dogs who belonged to people who departed. Lots of people have dogs, lots of people departed. It makes sense you'd have a pack or two running around town.
It was pretty heavily implied she put it in the soup. She's left alone with it and then looks right at the dog pills.
I wasn't trying to argue, don't worry about it.
Well, isn't that what anyone would say if the person ended up suing you and you needed some kind of legal defense? Regardless, any girl, any time for ANY reason, endangered or not, can and should ditch a date if they want to. Feeling obligated, or wanting to be "nice" can literally get you killed. That sounds…
When you're a woman meeting men, it is always a good idea to err on the side of caution and listen to your gut. This is exactly the kind of situation where feeling "endangered" in an way is a perfectly reasonable excuse to just bail.
Came here to post just this - real life has thus far surpassed Veep in political absurdity, Jonah becoming president would at least level things out.
I was saying this in the thread last week, but there is no way, even in a world as high concept and goofy as samurai jack, that any character we know in the future still exists if Jack goes back in time and defeats Aku. If he goes back and kills Aku, then goes back to the future, he'd find Earth populated by an…
It honestly makes Veep look like the West Wing.
No one in the future would end up existing. I mean, maybe in the world of Samurai Jack they will, I don't know how seriously they'll treat their time travel conceit, but if they do, literally everyone conceived after Aku's arrival will be erased if Jack prevents that from happening.
Its not just ashi though, it's all of Jack's old allies, its everyone he's saved during his time in the future. Aren't their lives just as valuable and worth saving as his family's? What was the point in saving them in the first place if he's just going to wipe them from existence later on? With that in mind, you…
Well, I think they wanted Jack to feel tied to the future in some way. It seems like we're building to Jack having a chance to go back to the past, but choosing to stay in the future.
I have more or less the same world view as you but this is one of my favorite shows ever. Hard to put a finger on why it works so well for me though. You seem to regard it as some kind of pro religion/Christianity show, and I really don't think its that at all. I mean the end of this episode made it pretty explicit…
The universe coincidentally aligning with magical thinking is kind of a major theme of the show though. It's supposed to make you think about how susceptible to coincidence our view of reality is, at least that's how I take it.
You didn't miss anything in that they didn't show it happen, but I think it's safe to assume they knocked him out and simply brought him to Grace's property.
I don't think Stakes was unnecessary. Marceline's been a much healthier character since then, the stuff that happened in Stakes is why. Yeah maybe they could have done it in a single episode, but Stakes was so much fun I don't know why you'd wish for that. The five vampires were such wonderful creations.
I thought the same thing. It was a bummer because I love her Slime Princess. She had a line at the very end.
I was just about to post the same thing. That coat is awesome.
Exactly. Heroin feels pretty good too Paige!
