@ TomWaits- Attended the Ayn Rand School For Tots, did we?
Les and Danny had a project going with Adrian Belew a few years ago. I wonder what happened with that.
@Shaggy- I've been looking to get a coat of lacquer on there for that very reason.
I've always been into heavier stuff, so it's the Les Paul for me. Nice meaty sound with lots of power. Strats to me just sound too brittle, unless extensively tweaked.
Damn…
He signed my Les Paul a couple of years ago. I haven't been able to bring myself to play it since (afraid of rubbing the sig off). Now I'll be cherishing that instrument even more.
Yeah, that scene is devastatingly effective. I love how his whimpers match perfectly with the music.
Just Watched This Tonight, Anticipating This Column
Definitely one of the creepiest movies I've ever seen. I loved Cronenburg's direction in this. It's pretty Kubrickian in it's emotional distance and exploration of the shattered mind. I'll probably be having nightmares tonight.
Yeah, I took my girlfriend to see Oldboy. Thank God we had already been dating for a while, because she never would've fucked me after that. Later, she got back at me with Hard Candy.
Thank God!
This would have been an abomination. This idea reminded me of that craptastic Lord Of The Rings musical that ran for only a few months in Canada.
@Hunter: Children of Men certainly did own, but I figured that ZMF and I would have somewhat different definitions of "ownage."
Tasha, I take it the comparisons to Children of Men are appropriate?
I have no idea why I found this so funny, but it just made my afternoon.
I think this will be closer to Children of Men than Crank 2, if that answers your question. Your level-of-ownage may vary.
Oh man…
Thus far, this is the only movie I've been interested in this summer. I will be crushed if it sucks.
Head them off at the pass?! I hate that cliche!!!
There is nothing less brutal than firsties. Now, all that stuff Boxer spoke of… appropriately brutal.
Man…
This makes me feel like a total shit for not getting around to watching Mad Men yet. It's next on my list of shows to get to. I'll get started on it right after I finish up Breaking Bad.
Gooble gobble, gooble gobble.
Nabin will need a visit from The Great Gazoo before he goes into late-period Brando territory.
