That sounds like an awesome idea.

Good call. I caught the end of Wet Hot American Summer yesterday, and I came in on Showalter as Alan Shemper saying, "I went to camp so long ago that Fucking Jesus Christ was my counselor!" I must have been laughing for the next 10 minutes.
Conan O' Brien
He's one of the few funnymen out there whose mugging and constant goofiness I find charming and personable, instead of just desperate (see Robin Williams and Jim Carrey). He also seems like a hell of a nice guy and he has good taste in music. I like to think we'd get along famously.
Just Netflixed Dead Ringers
Should be coming in the mail tomorrow. I am prepared to be thoroughly creeped out by some Cronenburgian goodness.
wolfman is not the only one who feels this way. Just ask Ricky Gervais.
The difference is that both Blair Witch and The Last Broadcast were marketed as documentaries, Spinal Tap and Man Bites Dog weren't. In the case of Man Bites Dog, that's probably a good thing.
Wait, you forgot to mention…
Muppet Faces Of Death.
Oh man, I forgot about YBS. Even his digs into music I like (All of Classic Rock, Tool, Metal in general), made me laugh uncontrollably.
Jellyfish -> Misnomer -> The Blitz -> Hitler
Maximilian Haas -> FC Bayern Munich II -> FC Bayern Munich -> Hitler
The picture and art threads are the only things on Something Awful I could stand to look at. The politics threads are the absolute worst.
I sometimes go to Wikipedia to refresh my memory on superhero continuities, and to read up on famous authors and filmmakers who's work I'm not that familiar with.
Second on Dr. McNinja and Dinosaur Comics.
Webcomics and the Something Awful Forums
I used to waste so much time on webcomic sites. Particularly the Perry Bible Fellowship (pbfcomics.com), Dinosaur Comics (qwantz.com) and The Non-Adventures of Wonderella (nonadventures.com).
I say let's dig up Saul Bass for some movie-poster awesomeness.
Who is this guy?
I've never heard of him, or any of the movies mentioned above. I read a bit of that link and he seems like a creep, but there has to be more to this. What specifically makes this guy worthy of this much hate?
A whole Philly crowd booed the Pope. That alone makes them awesome.
I believe that was his intention. To me he came across as incredibly self-loathing, so it would be fitting for him to portray himself in the most negative way possible. Plus, it would've been disingenuous of him to portray himself as a perfectly normal person after dealing with the things he dealt with in his life…
For kids, particularly boys, just hand them any superhero comic. That's what worked for me growing up. Also, second on Peanuts and Calvin & Hobbes.
Maus
It has a certain universal appeal, and it's a quick and interesting read. Recommended it to all of my non-comic-reading friends. I even considered giving a copy to my Mom, until I remembered the excerpt from Speigelman's comic referencing his Mom's suicide. Definitely dodged a bullet on that one.
