This is exactly why I read the review. You guys never disappoint.

I just flipped over to Foc News to see what kind of nonsense they're spouting off and landed on a commercial for Recticare wipes. Day made even better.

Up voted for "pindick"

Last night was really more a mixture of Weekend at Bernie's and Big Lebowski though, wouldn't you say?

I gotta say the occult atmosphere wasn't my favorite part of season one. I did like all the creepy decor, but whenever Cohle started rambling on all his philosophical tangents I just zoned out.

Also James Frain's voice. Felt straight out of some 30s or 40s noir and I kinda liked it.

I feel like his most open and candid moment as president was calling Kanye a jackass. I wanted more of that guy.

Hey, that mistake is very explicable, if you ask me.

Have you seen Tormund's hotel commercials? Super 8, I think. Kind of jarring and hilarious.

Not really at all what I was doing, but you're welcome?

And Grey Worm & Missandei! Also hopefully Hot Pie is still thriving as a baker.

I'm worried though, is he pretty seriously hurt?

But the point isn't really whether or not they frighten her, rather what she does in the face of that fear. What face she puts on surrounded yet again by so much cruelty.

But they didn't jump from that tower, right? They jumped from walls that were necessarily much lower in order for that whole candle plan to have a shot at working.

Yeah, that was my take too, that there was clearly a big snow drift next to the wall that they were counting on.

Did anyone else watch the AFI tribute to Steve Martin? I stumbled across it last night and it was absolutely delightful. Tina Fey was brilliant, and Martin Short had me cracking up. I've always been a fan, but I really appreciate him more and more every time I see him lately.
My favorite pop culture moment of the week,

Yeah, Pixels looks simultaneously really awesome and really awful.

I was there that year too! I recall it being a kickass year in the comedy tent, with Donald Glover doing standup too, and having Bill Bailey as part of his show, rather randomly. I think my favorite ended up being Gogol Bordello on Saturday night though.

I almost broke a leg 6 years ago because a bunch of jerkfaces didn't understand/give a fuck about the pit system and tried to push their way in for the Beastie Boys. Fortunately the barriers we were getting crushed against held (just barely), I made it in, and I got to fulfill a pretty much lifelong dream.

I really enjoy @midnight, and I also am still super impressed by a crazy two legged jump he did to get from the floor up onto a pretty high stage last year. I also liked the rest of his set, but I'm kind of still in awe of that jump.
