Ok, I always thought glowers rhymed lowers, not flowers.

We got all excited and had to run it back to see Eastwatch.

Yeah, that line was for us.

I studied abroad in Brittany the first half of 1997, and the variety of movies I could see from all over the world was pretty mind-blowing. When it came to the mainstream, though, it was all about The Fifth Element.

Even though he was waaaayyyyyyy older than me at the time of the movie, I just melted for him and I think his kiss with Jackie remains one of my favorite movie romantic moments of all time. I still want him to not answer that phone and just go with her.

I don't think it singlehandedly made him a star, but it was definitely a major part of that 2-3 year Spacey explosion towards the late 90s (I had this oddly strong crush on him in college).

Is remains one of my all time favorite soundtracks. But I also love the movie.

I remember how floored I was when I found out Ed Exley was Felicia from Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

We're gonna have to call in Wendell White on this one. We want full and docile cooperation on every topic.

I had not yet seen the movie at the time of the ceremony, so I had no context for the quote and just thought he was a mega pompous asshole.

I teach public speaking and show his speech to my students every year with a handful of acceptance speeches (which ABSOLUTELY includes Roberto Benigni, which even after watching 3-4 times a semester for years never fails to fill me with joy).

Exactly! The only consolation that got me through the first part of the movie was the knowledge that most of these tedious people were going to die. All that money dumped into the production and they couldn't afford decent screenwriters?

And that the movie did an absolutely incredible job boiling down that sprawling book but really keeping the essence.

He's also does some wonky stuff with his voice. Season four he was all raspy and obviously villainous but seems to have come back to something more natural.

We need to keep Bronn around for the Dick(on) jokes.

I thought it was his time when he cracked wise about Dickon. Felt like a cute little moment to remember why we love Bronn, so we miss him even more.

She did when they burned the ships in Mereen. Weren't all three in on that action?

Me too! I couldn't quite enjoy the battle fully because I was so sad that a dragon was probably going down. But I suppose that was the point of this battle, to make us not quite comfortable about who we were rooting for and against.

I think that was one of the best choreographed fights we've seen on this show.

But soldiers are common folk in a way, aren't they? They're not all fighting out of true ideological support for Cersei, it's just pretty much their station in life, no?
