Ran a "gothic fantasy" game of D&D (no, not Ravenloft, honest). Haven't played much the last few months, so it felt good to get back behind the screen and roll those polyhedrons.

I love that the Hammer films focused on the doctor instead of the monster. And really doubled down on what an unrepentant, sleazy asshole Dr. Frankenstein was.

I tend to think most of the charges were trumped up as part of a land-grab, but even if a fraction of them are true, that guy was one horrifying individual. I caught the second episode of Candle Cove late on Saturday night. It's the only episode I've seen, but judging by this one, the fact that I missed the first episode probably doesn't mean a damn.

I don't think so? The rabbit only vamps out on vegetables, and the dog and the cat never get any definitive proof of even that. It's a fun silly little story told from the POV of animals. Reread it yourself and see if it would work for your kid.
