We covered "The Monster Mash" at dinner the other night. It was kind of confusing, because I only half-remember the song, and he had just watched a video of it at school that day. I think I went overboard on monster classifications.

Eh, depends on the kid. Mine didn't care for Frozen, largely because of the dead parents. And there are a lot of dead parents in traditional horror stories, like Grimm's fairy tales and the like.

I've tried to read 1001 Nights a couple times now. I haven't given up yet. I'm just taking a break.

The last Sinbad thing that was produced was that cartoon, and I seem to recall they basically excised all the Islam out of it. This new thing will probably look more like that MST3K Sinbad, which is set in Russia or Norway.

I have fond memories of the Sinbad movies. Ray Harryhausen effects, Caroline Munro in a shirt with a plunging neckline, etc. I wouldn't mind seeing something new in a similar vein.

C'mon now, Tom would definitely not be afraid to tell someone he loved them. He's pure joy and friendliness and may or may not be Iluvatar himself somehow. He would definitely make it a fun little rhyme (which I will not attempt) but he would say "I love you" in a heartbeat.

Probably more like the "Children of Hurin" that was released a few years ago.
