Daredevil is another character who has never worked for me. A lawyer who is a vigilante - that's a fundamental disconnect for me, and I can't really get into the character because of it.

But then, okay, why does Abby Brand still have a job after failing so much? Wouldn't someone have replaced her by now with another agent who can better sell that illusion of control? Is it just the way she coordinates her hair and her clothes?

You and me both, brother.

Times change. We have Avengers advocating torture these days and straight up murdering people. Aren't comics great?

I think Castle would have more street cred if he could manage to kill someone of actual value. A Green Goblin, a Kingpin, a Red Skull. I'd even settle for Hammerhead, Silvermane, the Rose, or Madame Masque, who are ostensibly the mafia types that Frank guns for.

Let me turn that around. Why do governments in the Marvel Universe have so many ineffectual task forces run by incompetent jerks instead of relying on the superheroes who routinely arrive in the nick of time and save the day?

Right, either Frank is de-fanged completely, or the teaming up superhero ends up looking like a jackass. There's no win-win.

An artist's wife giving birth seems like something that might be planned for, though.

Aw, that's all stuff I generally knew. Not the "cruise director" thing. But yeah, that whole "Hawkeye the Murderer" thing is just one more reason why I find Fan Favorite Brian Michael Bendis a sub-par comics writing guy.

"Oh, yeah! I definitely have to say it was her legs. You can put that
down! Her legs, and right where her legs meet her back. That - actually
that whole area. That and - and above it."

Sad but true.

I prefer the way Batman dealt with him in "JLA vs. Avengers."

Yeah, sorry. It's just one of those things that always bothers me. It's not that I dislike the Punisher. I think Frank is a very compelling character. But he needs to be treated like the villain he is rather than as an antihero or even potential ally of all those people who call themselves "heroes."

It's not the killing that should bother people. It's the murdering.

No, I don't think it's that. It's really that the continued existence of the Punisher as someone that superheroes team up with rather than incarcerate, makes guys like Spider-Man and Daredevil look like massive, ineffectual tools.

Vickie makes the most sense to me. May already has a thing for supervillains.

Punisher teaming up with anyone strains credulity. Spider-Man and Daredevil will do all in their earthly power to take down serial killers like the Sin Eater or Bullseye, but not the Punisher. For reasons. About the third time a Spider-Man/Punisher story ended with them parting ways and Spider-Man thinking "one of

Tony Stark Iron Man, Victor Von Doom Iron Man, or Riri Williams Iron Man?

Civil War II isn't already stupid and desperate? You mean there's more "down" to go to?

Spoil away! I won't pay money for this shit, but I do like to be informed about whatever stupid thing is currently happening in the Marvel Universe.
