Vampires are just upscale zombies anyway. Where your zombies crave human flesh or brains, the vampire is able to get by on the rarefied diet of just human blood, which somehow usually allows him or her a level of vanity that "blue collar" zombies disregard.

In that horrible movie starring Hugh Jackman from a few years ago, his first name was Van. This seems in the same… (ugh, I hate puns)… vein.

Ah. Interesting (well, not really, but it seems the thing to say).

I remember when 65 cents became the new standard. I was pretty ripped. I mean, sure, some "prestige" books were going for a whole 75 cents, but you got your money's worth with the nicer, Baxter paper and all.

The stupidity and bullheadedness of evil people never surprises me. That was one of the few things that didn't bother me about that film.

He was unmasked and had to hand the name off to somebody else.

"Man of Steel, Women of Kleenex," is indeed very funny, yes. Thanks for remembering that.

I haven't read this book, so I'm hoping that Lois gets to be more than just "the mom." She's one of the best characters DC has, cape or no, and she deserves her time to shine as well.

Shit, they really want to make Eradicator evil. There's no coming back from dog killing.

There's probably… 3 right now, I think. Superman and Supergirl, then the two half-bloods, Jon and Kon-El make a third together. I dunno if Kon-El is still around, though, as it looks like Jon-boy here is slated to be the new Superboy.

To this day, I have still never seen this movie. I stand by that choice.

Isn't that kind of the plan already? Presuming that Joker is featured in the new Batman at all, he will be played by Leto. Right?

There's no reason to grittify the Joker. "Evil Clown" is scary enough as it is.

There must be something in the water.

Which just points out how pointless "death" is in comics.

Saw this yesterday, really enjoyed it. It felt like a good Trek episode (or two parter), which is all I really want from these films, honestly. Much better than the last two. I also choked up quite a bit, showing me that I am much more emotionally invested in Star Trek than I ever would have assumed before.

Yeah, I was kind of hoping that Kirk's self-sacrifice would reawaken something in Edison, too.

I mostly agree, except for Urban.

Urban certainly seems to be the world's only master of the DeForest Kelly impersonation.

I could see the hand of Pegg in that. Reminded me a lot of the structure of the Cornetto films.
