Minerals that are rare on Earth are not rare across the galaxy. Which is not even to mention replicators… the Federation is definitely a post-scarcity economy.

I lost it several times during the film, since it couldn't stop reminding me that Leonard Nimoy died. But seeing the original crew… I had no prior idea how emotional I apparently am about Star Trek.
Always on and on about fucking waffles. We get it, they taste great! Let it the fuck go already.
It didn't do anybody any favors. People forget that Liam Neeson basically quit acting after Episode I because he had such a horrible, terrible, no-good, very shitty time being George Lucas' puppet.
Ahsoka, right? Bet she dies.
Wise old wizard, farm boy who becomes a hero, beautiful princess, clumsy sidekicks, bad guy all dressed in black - the movie was full of fucking cliches, man. We all knew it. No one cared, because it put them all in a blender and made something that totally blew our minds.
Probably. I try not to be… I readily admit that the stuff I like and prefer is not all that great, ultimately, but yeah, I look around and everything else looks like shit to me. That's not a helpful attitude.
I have a friend who wanted to pitch a Ghost Rider book where the host body is regularly switched out, as the titular ghost (Zarathos, I guess? Or the Dan Ketch Spirit of Vengeance, maybe?) jumps from body to body. It's not the bike he rides, but human beings.
You know what's terrible? I read what I read and I like what I read, but I can't in good conscience nominate anything from my pull list as one of the best comics of 2016.
That would be brilliant, but they don't do that. Old heroes are not allowed to retire. They can only be killed off - see what happened to Bruce Banner a few weeks ago, and don't be surprised when Tony Stark takes the big sleep in a few months to make way for his replacement.
The Hiketeia is pretty dang sweet, too, although that might be subsumed under the recommendation for Rucka's original run…
I saw this movie in the theater, with a woman I was not dating but really wanted to date. This film did not help things at all.
I didn't remember that part, but it makes sense that they lampshaded that fact for anyone who didn't miss the point based on Douglas' likeability.
Wait, are you trying to argue that Jurassic Park is a good film?
It wasn't even time travel per se; I remember a lot of mumbo-jumbo about alternate universes and breaking atoms down and maybe even a microverse or something? I think my brain glazed over because I just wanted to get to the Hundred Years War already.
The implication by the end of the film is that Douglas is going to kill his ex-wife. He doesn't succeed, of course.
Robert Duvall shoots Douglas before he can kill his ex-wife and possibly his daughter (and/or kidnap her).
I love Dynasty Warriors. There's something so simple and enjoyable about single-handedly destroying an entire battlefield of soldiers. But you really only need version of the game. I got bored so quickly with successive iterations. Still, the game made me seek out and read the novel it's based on!
Total plate of shrimp thing for me, too. This came up on another board I frequent, and I didn't recall it until someone posted a film of a playthrough and immediately the sound effects (of all things) brought me back to junior high. I think it goes without saying that no one in our social group ever saw the actual…
