Is anyone else hoping this time it's a show that can be taken seriously instead of just a fading novelty of bat shit wackiness which is really only fun to watch when paired with VanDerWerff's reviews?

I bet Vince Gilligan saw this episode when he thought of how to wrap up Beneke, another financially troubled, cheating douche who fatally injures himself in a slap-sticky kind of way while fleeing.

Drink every time you hear "pink stars," or "monarch."

That's right, I almost forgot. Back when Skylar was content to not constantly berate her husband.

Anyone else catch the Deadwood DVD set on the bookshelf in Hank and Marie's house? I never would have thought that with all that purple they'd have such good taste in TV.

I'm kind of disappointed to not have seen Utopia on here, Dennis Kelly's British conspiracy thriller series on Channel 4 in the U.K. A truly remarkable, smart, and visually striking show renewed for a second season.

I don't think anyone at Fox really knows how to walk that line between laughing at stereotypes and laughing at people who laugh at stereotypes.

That family drinks a lot of scotch, which is great, but I feel like the show is so indicative of CBS' demographic of people who are 55+ years old who really hate change and hip-hop.

I guess this could've been worse, but any resemblances to its predecessor are entirely superficial. It's mostly a dumbed down extension of the original premise without any of the themes, characterization, or even a basic resolution. An awful waste of time.

This seemed like something Brett Easton Ellis would really dig. You know, if he still had a soul.

I'm with Rowan Kaiser and Noah Cruickshank. Wonderfully articulated defense of Dollhouse from the atmosphere of the more amiable Whedon works, and a great call (as usual) on Orson Scott Card because with every psychotically racist and bigoted piese he produces I think the same thing.

I agree that Terry had plenty of reasons to be depressed, as you so pointed out, what I meant was I feel like this season didn't do a very good job of illustrating the weight of those reasons breaking him down. Despite all the horrible shit he'd gone through, Terry always had a brevity about him, the way he could be

I'M HELPING I LOVE YOU

KABOOM

Ha, yeah, I was also very pleasantly surprised by how genuinely moving the entire funeral was. I literally laughed (the stupid racist grandmother being put in a position to be laughed at by the audience for her obvious stupidity) and cried (Sookie relaying how she knew Arlene was truly loved by Terry from the first

100% agree with the review. That said, "If anyone on the show was going to get a sendoff with the purpose of proving human life isn’t just something to be thrown away by these crazy supernatural things, that a person is defined by the connections they made, Terry was the one to do it," would be true if Terry hadn't

Love the show

Honestly, just as a country's greatest patriots are its most ardent protesters, this article, while still acknowledging many of the series' strengths, is very important in contributing to a balance with its many praises. I don't 100% agree with it, I even think some of its points are reaching a bit too far, but I'm

Remember what a douche Hank was at the beginning of the series? Now he's like Batman.

Right, thank you!
