They're producing it on spec. It better have production values. You know, tits and ass.

Actually space racism was still around until they elected a black guy as Chancellor. After that, any time anyone claimed they were being discriminated against, they were actually just playing the race card, because the Republic had a black leader, so racism was just over, obviously.
Imagine how much it would suck if people you never met had in-depth questions for you about your early jobs. "Hey when you were a dishwasher at that one restaurant, what was your least favorite menu item to clean up after?"
Well it would help if the target wasn't so damn skinny.
You're thinking of Juan Solo.
I thought it was space's Arizona, but before old people from Coruscant started retiring there in large numbers.
And they have no peripheral vision.
Two upvotes now. The other one is from himself, too. So he's consistent.
So I saw this and thought, "What dbag upvoted this comment? Could it have been accidental?" Then I saw that the dbag who liked the comment was the guy who wrote it. I felt better, actually. Not to mention completely unsurprised.

The random historical fact about Ireland during the Battle of Britain that I've always loved is that their method of protecting themselves from accidental German bombing was to have "Eire" written various places along the coastline in enormous white letters.

No, she ended up marrying Mike Nichols. Poor Sam Donaldson.
I really, REALLY want to see the Cheers write-ups come back. And it would be nice if they could cover Barney Miller and Taxi, and maybe a dozen more great old shows. Maybe something like Hill Street Blues, which turned out to be hugely influential, and which I've never seen as an adult.
Until the eighties, didn't most countries have only one or two channels, primarily programmed with news? And I imagine that most shows had pretty low production values. I'm sure there are some old classics from Denmark or Austria or whatever, but I doubt there are too many, and I'm sure they're nearly impossible to…
He was clearly making a joke or amusing observation. He said something in a jocular tone and than smiled and laughed. I laughed too. Because you humor Kirk Douglas.
I met Kirk Douglas a few times at the hotel where I work. I couldn't understand a word he said, but he was super friendly nonetheless. Awesome guy. It'll be a sad day when he goes.
I understand what you're saying, but I think it's almost as naive to say that the president has no power as it is to see he has all the power. Nixon isn't responsible for all the progressive things that happened between 69 and 74, not by a longshot, but he could have stopped a lot of them if he'd tried, and he didn't.…
