@avclub-b9a8f4af85454f7c56c06f0a39e7ec23:disqus I suppose we'll never know if Luke actually changed the trajectory of the proton torpedo using the Force but I think it's heavily implied that he just needed to disable the targeting computer from computing the precise moment for when to launch the torpedoes and instead

Did you ever read Tag and Bink are Dead?

It strikes me that most people who hate Zack Snyder seem to hate anything action heavy in the first place.

To be fair, his versions of "Watchmen" and "300" are about as close to the source material as you can get via film.

Ripping on slow-motion in film never gets old, does it?

@avclub-b31378bbfb701dc33efdb269aa01e844:disqus Wedge is the only character to survive the attack run on both Death Stars.  Now that is seriously badass!

Well, I guess that's a good thing then, no?  The Marvel films, under Disney, have all been rather decent.

Hmm… I'm going to go against the grain here on the AVC but I actually quite like all of his films.  With the possible exception of Sucker Punch which was fairly incomprehensible but at least had some very cool set pieces.

@avclub-b9a8f4af85454f7c56c06f0a39e7ec23:disqus  The Targeting Computer simply provided accurate calculations for *when* and in what position to launch the proton torpedoes.  The torpedoes themselves were programmed to exploit the thermal exhaust port but required exact timing and coordinates in order for success.

Pathfinder is based on D&D 3.5 rules and addresses some flaws in that system.  Basically, they streamlined some of the rules and added more feats, simplified skills and abilities for each class.  It still feels a little bloated but the rules weren't as hard to swallow as 4E.

Puck, a moon of Uranus (yes, yes, insert various puns), is 162km in diameter — only 2km larger than the first Death Star.

Actually, this is NOT the correct answer.

Goa'uld aren't all Egyptian-based.  Duh.

*plants geek/jerk helmet on head*  Technically. that should read "Bothan Spies".  *Many* died, right?

Personally, I'd love to see something akin to Tag and Bink are Dead - which was a brilliant Rosencrantz and Guildenstern parody in the Star Wars universe - as a possible idea for a series.    I think it would be awesome to have a series that revolves around major plot points from the films (read: original trilogy

I suspect the types of people who eat McRibs might be able to break you in half if you punched them.

It's comments like this that give me hope for the world.  "Phony moral high ground" indeed. *joins barfing*

"This Modern Love" for me… and everything else by them? Mehh…

Out of the way, peck!

That's exactly it — leave the gates there until you have an Elder sign or some other method to seal it.  Closing them just to have them open again is silly as the Doom track increases each time.  Fighting an Ancient One is never easy and sometimes nigh impossible.
