No one has mentioned "Legend" yet (that I've noticed) - though I suspect that's because it holds little love amongst all of the other Ridley Scott masterpieces (it's one of my favourite all-time films… a guilty pleasure, perhaps?).

That scene is no where near as bad as what they did to the Wampa sequence. It kills me that Lucas hasn't learned that sometimes LESS IS MORE!!! Sigh.

I'm still shocked that the sentry gun sequence was excised from the original theatrical cut. I can never go back to the theatrical cut as a result of its exclusion.

Really? The only thing egregiously wrong with the "Blade Runner" DC is the nonsensical notion that Deckard is a replicant. Which, if you choose to buy it, actually weakens the whole film dramatically. But if you choose not to buy that dish of nonsense, than the film is FAR better realized than the original…
