I don't know why (maybe the zany!!!111!! humor + [taped?] laugh track?), but I could not get into this show.  And I would do terrible, illegal things for Chris O'Dowd.  That man.  Gwah.  Yes.

"Your tone seems very pointed right now."

"In Love With the Mic" by the Roots with Dave Chappelle and Skillz could have easily been the lead single

Oh, and pre-drum-kit-and-cello AVETT BROTHERS

UNICORNS
SHARON JONES & THE DAP-KINGS (that woman works)
Q AND NOT U
FRIGHTENED RABBIT
WAYNE HANCOCK (the best concert-going crowd I've ever experienced)

FOO FIGHTERS
DEERHOOF

Let's not forget Phylicia Rashad's character on "The Cosby Show" was down-tempo straight man to Bill Cosby's slurry, pudding-chugging hijinx investigator. If she came off as smug in her performance, that's kind of the point. She was a lawyer.

Tell 'Em, Steve Dave!

Finally, I can TV myself on the Internet!!!
AV Club board game? Please?

I saw this last year as part of the Three Rivers Film Fest (Good going, Pittsburgh!) and was immediately blown away.

I'm still waiting for an old roommate to mail back the first TapeOp book he borrowed seven years ago.

3. Statistics "Say You Will"
4. Portastatic "Beer and Chocolate Bars"
5. Tenacious D "Drive-Thru"

Her boobs are fucking horrendous. They can't play any instruments for shit - seriously guys, it's like they just hang there while she sings these awesome songs and plays guitar and dances. I hear whenever Jenny Lewis asks her boobs for songwriting ideas, they just talk about "the vibe," smoke weed and press whatever

Ghostface did his parts but DOOM just had some white guy in a John Starks jersey record the DOOM parts.

At last year's picnic, The Roots + Antibalas provided the music for Public Enemy, so I assume the plan for this year was to do the same for Rev Run and DMC.
