? Suits, White Collar, and Psych are very competent and assured shows that are extremely fun to watch.

Not really, it's just an incorrect statement that's being snarky for snarky's sake. I liked the pilot enough, I haven't seen anything else from the show. I feel bad for the way Awake got burned on multiple levels.

Which is odd. The show is largely inoffensive and explains itself fairly coherently. Not everyone's cup of tea, surely, but still, I was surprised when I went to metacritic.

But 20 are out there! Somewhere! In the ether!

It had 7 and 13 episode seasons, respectively.

Yeah, but Devious Maids at Lifetime makes more sense than Mind Games at ABC, Awake at NBC, or Lone Star at Fox.

The first 1/3 and last 1/3 of Awake are fairly fantastic. The show struggled to have a coherent middle, but absolutely got through its growing pains.

JUST SO WE ALL REMEMBER FOR MAY:

You forgot Mr. Sunshine… yay.

Yeah, if broadcast nets are buying his stuff, he can't say "no thank you" because his studio won't let him.

You're right, Damages wasn't the Sony one I was thinking of — it was laid off to Sony once it was on FX. Another example: Drop Dead Diva was a script at Fox before it was passed on and then went to Lifetime.

If you have an overall with a studio (and Killen has one with 20th, I believe), they will have you pitch to broadcast networks first and will only let you go to cable once they all pass (you see this all the time with shows that were bought as scripts on broadcast nets and then passed — like Damages being at NBC).

Just like his last show! Wait.

I really wish this show wasn't on ABC. It feels like the perfect USA show that would allow the series to dig a little more into its moral ambiguity.

Catherine di Medici, gay icon.

Classic Lonewolf!

I will get this show renewed on sheer will power. It must. It's the best comedy HBO has put out in a while. I don't count Enlightened, that was other-worldly.

I'm incredibly attracted to Brooks Wheelan and wish he was used more. I don't know even know how talented he is… though I'd probably know if they actually used him more.

So "prestige drama" is now a real genre we're using?

I feel sorry for the world you live in, it seems cruel :-(
