This made me think of the Spider-Woman cartoon, which aired around the same time. I couldn't tell you if I really watched it, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't intended to be funny, but this article made me think it might have actually existed.
Part of what I like about that story is that it confirms all my prejudices about pitching a show to a network. Neither the pitcher nor the network has to have any idea what the show is about.
