Oooh, good call on Pizzeria Bianco!

You can make what I'm having for dinner tonight — zucchini-and-broccoli frittata!

Seriously, it's the best stuff ever.  It makes fantastic pan sauces with meats, and is also delicious just stirred into brownies before baking, or mixing the syrup into hot fudge.  There's nothing in my pantry that makes for an easier gourmet touch than these cherries.

I've been doing still-photography 365's for the last five years, so this is a fun new challenge.  It ends up super-cool* — I highly recommend doing it!

I have been tremendously satisfied with Morgan Stanley's handling of my finances (similar to yours and @avclub-84ca205fe6bc691c41c3bfe5a2820a15:disqus 's father's) so that would be my recommendation too.

My favorite rye for Manhattans is Tuthilltown Spirits' Hudson Manhattan Rye.  With "Manhattan" right there in the name, I feel bad using it any other way.

Hey fellow boozehounds!  Liz n Dick brand bitters has another overstock situation, this time with homemade rhubarb bitters.  I've got five extra bottles (what kind of recipe yields a full quart of bitters?  How many cocktails do they think I'm going to drink?), so if anyone wants some, email me at

I've said this elsewhere already, but I am OUTRAGED by this early posting.  It was bad enough when it moved to noon (Eastern) without warning, but now whatever cockamamie morning hour it went up?  Unacceptable!

I'm sure your iPod's not trying to tell you anything.  ::shifty eyes::

Minor foibles and benign failures thread!

It was cherry weekend at stately Liz n Dick Manor, as a nearby orchard opened its cherry-picking season.  I ended up walking out of there with over 33 pounds of cherries, and spent the rest of my weekend pitting all of them.  Most have gone into the freezer for future preserves, but 8 pounds got turned into 12 half

For reals!  TI is becoming a moving target now.  I'm OUTRAGED!

Perhaps he tries the legs-over-the-arms thing but realizes that's too precarious, so everyone has to wait an inordinately long time as he struggles to get his legs through the holes under the armrests, which takes forever because he's wearing too-tight leather motorcycle pants and clunky motorcycle boots.

Okay, now I'm sad that this isn't going to happen.

I actually find this song relatively benign, but I'm liking your comment for such a lovely and evocative simile.

That's always my least favorite part of going to Home Depot — the one near me always has a bunch of Paula Deen magazines on their "home and hobby" magazine rack near the check-out counters.  And those creepy Paula Deen faces, airbrushed into the uncanny valley, with the blazing white teeth just wig me out.

Yeah, that one was just a random string of words for me.

Spastic cheering is just the thing for my spastic workouts!

What a drag!  I wish I could help, but right now I'm counting down the minutes before leaving work and thinking about how much better a long nap followed by delivery pizza would be than making the bean chili I was planning for tonight.  So my recommendation for getting out of a rut is to order pizza.  I know — where

@avclub-72a8ab4748d4707fda159db0088d85de:disqus Thanks so much!  And those vegan burgers sound intense and scrumptious — I look forward to hearing how things go.
