That actually sounds like a delicious and simple way to get some breakfast into your day.

That would look completely fabulous!  Doing a consistent solid off-set block would look great in any color, and lovely gray sounds especially well suited to the job.

AIEEE!  SCORPIONS!  Those are the WORST.  Spiders don't trouble me too much, but holy fuck was I constantly on edge the entire three years I lived in Arizona.  I don't think it's an overestimation to say that a good 75% of my reason for moving back to the East Coast was just to get away from scorpions.

Oooh, elevators is a good choice — they always make me a little nervous.  As do escalators, thanks to seeing a local news report when I was little kid about a woman who got crushed to death in one at a nearby mall or airport or somewhere.  Every time I end up on an escalator now, my heart speeds up a bit and I get all

What?  That's not weird at all!  Amusement park rides are all potential death traps!  Frankly, I think the people who aren't afraid of them are the weird ones.

That kind of behavior is just prudent, not necessarily fearful.  At least, it sounds normal to me; I don't consider myself unusually afraid of fire or anything.  Just very cautious.  My sister is ridiculously overractive to the notion of germs, but when I teased her once about being a germaphobe she responded that she

Oh my god, that's awful!  I can't even imagine losing all my music — I think I'd be so devastated that I'd have to just go home from work and cry all day.  Totally seriously.  I'm so, so, so sorry.  :(

What's with both of our iPods hitting Low up today?  I find them scarily in synch on these shuffle days.  I'll hear something really random that I never voluntarily listen to, and then when you pop up here it turns out yours did the same thing.  It's freaky, I tells ya!  (For the record,

Whoa!  That breakfast sandwich idea sounds amazing!  I totally don't have time for breakfast at home, so that's a fantastic on-the-go option.  Thanks for sharing that, because while granola/yogurt/preserves is good, I can't imagine I want to eat it every single day.

Oh my god, a pork fat allergy would be the worst thing ever.  My deepest sympathies to your father.

Dude, your CSA has meat?  And eggs?  I'm so jealous!

That sounds really excellent.  I think I need to start making curries — that's kind of something that's never found its way into my repertoire, but these Food Threads are always full of delicious-sounding curries.

@avclub-d019eb089e65903455cc52308f00b997:disqus Oh god, I totally don't ever eat corn on the cob.  That is absolutely evil.  I use my trusty corn zipper all summer long, though, making enormous bowls of fresh corn doused generously with butter.  Seriously, I'll just eat a giant bowl of corn for dinner, with nothing

I'm very excited about my new gym!  It was incredibly depressing to discover I couldn't take up jogging, but after the initial shame spiral of "I'm too out-of-shape to be able to try to get fit for free, so now I have to spend tons of money on a gym" I'm feeling pretty good about all this.  The gym seems really nice,

Those things are the WORST.  I had a tiny one in the middle of my bathroom floor yesterday and was so wigged out by it that I considered just spending the rest of my life sitting on the toilet, if it didn't decide to scurry off to the side enough to give me room to walk past it.  (My bathroom is quite small.

I'm terrified of frogs.  When I was a kid we lived in a house with a pond in the backyard, so whenever it was rainy there'd be frogs, like, everywhere.  Needless to say, I once stepped on a dead one with bare feet.  You know, as happens in yards full of heinous, malevolent, creepy-eyed, ribbeting monsters that lurk in

I think that picture might be my favorite thing that's ever happened on Fashion Thread.

Umlaut - "Dain Bramage"
Vasen - "Idas Farval"
Mark Lanegan - "Burn the Flames"
Low - "Turn"
Melvins - "Stick'em Up Bitch"

I'm trying to develop a breakfast-eating habit, since it's supposedly all healthy and shit to eat breakfast, or something.  I mean, whatever.  But anyway, good-for-you and convenient breakfast foods normally leave me cold (sure, I'd eat breakfast every day if eggs Benedict was an option…), so this is a bit of an

I'm going insane waiting for corn season here.  The best corn farm in the universe is along my commute, and the fields are still distressingly short of tall, corn-filled stalks.
